I believe this follows the basic KD AS build, but i want to know if the skills would work well

1. Devastating Hammer {Elite}
2. Crushing Blow
3. Heavy Blow
4. After Shock
5. Irresistable Blow
6. Berserker Stance
7. Healing Signet
8. Ressurection Signet

At the start of the battle, gain adrenaline with Berserker Stance (use Irresistable as the stance is about to end), then find a caster. Hit with devastating hammer -> Crushing Blow -> Aftershock -> Heavy Blow-> Aftershock, and if that doesn't finish them then another irresistable. Healing and Ressurection Signet are self explanatory.

My questions are if this build would be effective in PvP, and if it would work as well as an axe build. My concerns are the builds energy consumption and lack of any defensive skills (although you can't take damage if your enemy is on the ground

)

nope, KD/AS is seen as good, but it really is garbage, take away all the points in earth spells and switch it all into STR. forget the weak energy sapping spike from after shock and go full on hammer skills spikes.
not to mention any points you put into tactics is just lowering your damage output and healing sig really sucks in 4 on 4 arenas, the -40 damage is something you cannot risk in suck small arenas, you will not heal in peace and you will just lose as much life if not more as you will gain in the time it takes healing sig to work. who cares about no self healing in 4 on 4 arenas, just go to TA and advetise you are a full on damage hammer war, you will have no problem finding a team with a monk
