What is a good weapon for me to use?
What kind of weapon should I be using as a E/N (9) with all my attribute points in Fire and Energy storage? I thought I should be sticking to wands but is there something else I should be looking for?
Thanks, Killic

wands or a staff. wands are one handed weapons and u can equip an artifact or focus item that increases ur amount of energy u hav. staffs are 2 handed but can be modified by 3 or 4 mods(correct me if im wrong). thats all i can say, i dont have much experience in elementals or any other characters that use wands and staves.

If you can manage to find them, a good Fire Wand with an equally good Fire Focus should go a long way. The main difference between a Wand and a Staff is that if you have a Focus of equally good quality as your Wand, you will have a little more energy but a little less damage.
For most casters, the energy is worth much more. But it's harder to find 2 worthwhile items (Wand and Focus) than just to get one good Staff.
Until you have enough money to start looking for specific weapons, stick with whatever weapons have the best enchant side effects, then energy, then damage.

If this is your first character, and if you don't have much money, look for a cheap collector item for a pyromancer (staff or wand+focus). If you can afford components to put in a staff, look for +energy +armor and +life (ignore the others). If you can afford a good base item (magical, rare, green) you can look for more mods such as fast cast (generic or fire), and fast recharge (generic or fir), and extra energy (conditional).

Thanks alot everyone. I found a good fire wand from some one for 7oo gold. It has fire damage 11-22 and a couple other stats. I think a +5 to energy and something to do with monks. It would be better if I was a E/M instead of E/N, but it made a huge difference. I paired it with a good flame artifact. Thanks again.

most people go with: 10 energy staff, energy +5 (insightfull), enchantments last 20% longer, better recharge/casting (20%) on your ___.
the enchanting helps alot with attunements and stuff, although if you dont really use enchants something like defense +5 is my second choice.
oh and i realize this may not be so easy to get in pve, im just saying what the optimal (pvp char stuff) equipment is.
