Post-update Mo/W UW soloing
In light of recent posts on this page, I have decided to remove this post from the forums, as it will, I am sure, create another bandwagon-esq effect. If you want to solo the UW with Mo/W, it is possible, but make up your own way to do it
Good luck to you all, and have fun in your future endeavors

Was this REALLY necessary?
I personally can't believe someone actually needed to post this. Here comes the bandwagon all over again. LOL. We need to spend more time actually learning how to use our skills rather than copy someone else's ideas. Am I the only one playing this game that realized a long time ago that there are actually descriptions built into the game that tell you what each skill does? You guys should check em out sometime, they're very informative. I really don't mean to flame here, but come on. So many cookie cutter builds out there, stop adding fuel to the fire. Let THEM figure it out. If you wanna see what skills are out there drop by any/all of the priests. There's a list of skills and a description of what they do. Put the pieces together yourselves. It'll be THAT much sweeter when you figure something out.

Sure it's nice to have builds posted for people to use, but most of them are still hard to do even if you follow instructions. The best ones are the ones you design. I personally have a build which I'm working on, and am not giving away, which is Mo/Me or Mo/W and is able to do good damage without dying easily. Not so easy to solo, but I'm working on that bit. Might I add, Protective Bond is still very handy in situations like the Dunes of Despair, where the Wurms do 100 damage and knockdown. I cast Prot Bond and it took it down to 5%, which was about 23 damage. MUCH better than the full 100, or even the 90 damage from Stoning when the Forgotten Arcanists turn up. The energy cost may be high, but the spell is still pretty awesome. It would work best with an E/Mo Protection/Healer because of the high Energy they have.

And don't forget that it was precisely such a thread that got the first build totally out of hand, and ended up getting protective bond nerfed and rendered nearly useless. It really isn't that hard to come up with a good effective build all on your own.

Sigh...here we go again...
I can see it now: Protective Spirit is going to go out the window next. Thanks alot.
Stop posting your "uber solo builds" please. In fact, this one isn't even that great.
Why would you be trying to help other people (including noobs just browsing forums to find a post just like this) farm? More people farming, less money for you, don't you know that?
Mods please delete this thread...

Why would they delete this thread? There's nothing wrong with posting a build. Stop acting like the devs are too stupid to figure out how to make their own farming build Just cause someone doesn't post it on a forum doesn't mean the devs are going to be oblivious to what's going on. Furthermore, the reason they nerfed prot bond was because the skill was broken. Not broken as in overpowered (which it was), but broken as in it didn't work the way they intended it to. The fact that you could get it down to 1 energy loss per hit was an oversight on their part.
I highly doubt they are going to be nerfing prot spirit since it works just the way they intended it to.

yeah I agree nothing wrong with the post.. it just takes skills now unlike before it was broke- more skill you got the faster run goes too.. before any short bus rider with some ebay money could run around UW basically invincible

Okay, say that to the 300k+ profit I made from posting my invincimonk build, stocking up on sup monk runes and selling it back. And even if it does mean less money, it means the prices of things go down. so plz, let him post at will.

Nobody is complaining. And copying someone elses build is NOT how people learn. Do you learn things in school by copying someone elses answers, without thinking for yourself? And I don't wear panties, either.

You should spend less time camping the rune trader, and more time farming, if you're making so much money. Monks that actually like to HEAL people would appreciate being able to buy a superior rune every once in a while.

My opinion-
Nothing at all wrong with posting any build you wish to share.
Sharing information about stuff like this is what the site is all about anyway. Do you think all articles/walkthroughs/guides/skill lists etc should be removed to encourage everyone to figure it all out for theirselves too?
If you want to copy a build exactly, or just look for ideas, this info can be useful.
Even if the post was responsible for the nerf of Prot bond (which I doubt; its no secret that people solo UW and I'm sure ANet can figure out how), then so be it. They will contantly make changes to better balance the game. Either they thought Bond being reduced to 1 energy was a bug, or just too unbalanced.
