Necro HoH Idea
now then.
The Plan:
to zerg rush the enemies in Tombs
The Method:
2 necros sacrifice themselves to death, repeatedly. 2 more necros raise minions. one more necro sustains those minions.
2 fast casting Me/Mos resurrect the necros (with the spell resurrect) and rinse and repeat.
1 Heal/Prot monk for keeping the minion preserver alive and other general healing tasks.
The Details:
the death necros will have as much as humanly possible on Death. they will use Animate Bone Horrors (cheapest spell and also makes the enemy have to negotiate through lots of melee enemies).
Resurrest has been substituted instead of Unyielding Aura because of Auras long recast time.
Fast Cast Mesmers have been included to get off reses as fast as before (4 secs at 16 fast cast)
The Sacrifice Necros use BiP to kill themselves (they use it on the minioneers)
the Death Necros wait 2 seconds then cast animate bone horror.
The minion raisers also have death nova. which they cast on the Horrors when battle is joined.
The Sacrifice Necros use BiP all through the battle and add a bit in wells if they have the energy. They are all blood.
All Necros have 2 maxed atts. soul reaping for both, death for minioneers and Blood for sacrifice necs. They only use spells of this type.
The plan is to simply Zerg the opponent.
A few questions on it though:
Can Horrors inflict Dmg on Warriors? even when maxed out?
do you think that the minions could possibly have the dmg output to kill any enemies?
do you think they will raise enough to do a descent amount of Dmg?
Does BiP stay in effect if the caster is dead?

If the other team is smart, they'll kill your necros and once they tag your minion master, all of those minions become neutral and will attack your own team :P

i LIKE it.
besides: there are 2 minion masters and THEY aren't doing the upkeep. (so i hope that they will incorrectly identify the one doing the blood of the masters as the master of the minions)
Order Of Pain has been suggested for more dmg.
Aura of the Lich can be used by the death necros.
Death Nova is a Must.
The Mesmers will try to do any AoEs they have. (be it balth or chaos storm)

this build has been done b4. i don't see it being ran much any more. also with the new iway build most warrior would just rush the necros seeing all the minions( if they have an ounce of i.q, surpringly iway warriors may not)

nah not vengeance. it has a recharge of 60 secs and a set duration of 30. the deal is to have as many minions as possible before the battle starts. so res is the best i could find.
with fast cast 16 res is a 4 second cast (same as vengeance and unyielding aura)
the Dp is a bugger but is necessary for the number of minions to be substantial.
with fast cast res and summoning we can get around 16 horrors in 40 seconds (about the time from start to battle commence)

Your problem would be a W with balthazars on him running into your minions with monk putting all kinds of stuff on him.

No army summoned minions can combat a single BA warrior with Zealot's Fire coming from the monk and he's spamming Draw Conditions.
The undead will be eating about 90dmg a second. No amount of healing can save a minion from that...

It works, but it only binds minions when it's originally cast, not if you are renewing it. The Aura part just maintains the bind.

Its actually a fairly old build but if you "discovered" it on your own, good for you.
1. Fiends are better damage dealers and have less porblems with collision size when attacking. With more people attacking you get a better effect out of the spirit winnowing. I've heard favorable winds helps fiends, but I've never payed close enough attention to confirm it, so you may want to test that.
2. Fiends en masse do plenty of damage : P
3. You can raise a freakishly large ammount If the death necros keep minion maintenance skills, things will be fine.
