We ran a build with 2 IW mesmers in it, but even with tons of slowdown they still don't do enough damage. We tried putting in a thunderclapper to keep the IW's primary target stationary, but you dont have enough guys to bring enough hexes left to cover the thunderclap. If the thunderclap stays on, the target drops so fast that the next target wont be able to be thunderclapped, and you're screwed then.

With a few changes it might be pretty nice.

As mentioned, blackout would help a lot. So what if you're "only" doing 40 dmg a hit. If they're unable to heal it then it adds up pretty quick.
Throw a cover enchant on to help with stripping (granted, well of profane would still destroy you) but with spell breaker and a cover enchant I'd imagine you'd be reasonably safe from getting stripped (how many teams have multiple characters able to strip multiple enchants?)

Throw on a slow then blackout & whack away with IW. Shame/Guilt and an interrupt for the 3 seconds they have to actually do anything then back to blackout.

It's not an uber-build by any means, but rather than tear a build apart as people seem so fond of doing I'm trying to think of ways to improve it.
