Wow...you must have been against some real crap team to win with IWAY. IWAY sucks so badly...and can be beaten so easy. Here's an idea. Don't attack pets, and IWAY doesn't work. Another good one? Ineptitude, Spirit of Failure, Spiteful Spirit, Half the Necro Curses and a heap of Mesmer Hexes.

Talon, your tactics are unnecessary.
IWAY groups tend to fall to firestorm

Hmm good point One and Two, I guess I kinda went for overkill. IWAY dies against anything. 10 bucks says a solo monk could beat an IWAY team. Now THAT'S a video I wanna see.

IWAY does win against unorganized teams, mostly pickups, but any good team can crush IWAY no problem.

I just switched my pvp to an IWAY from a mesmer and I noticed it doesn't take long at all to get into a group that does fairly well.-- But the most effective IWAY groups are the one who have a kicker or 2 in them ie. a rgr or mes or even an ele (if they know what they're doing) organization is the key to any group though to be successful..

Was the Guild called Noobz? I'm sure they took the alter from us just before you guys went in.
Oh yeah IWAY is viable build, I have been in plenty of IWAY teams when im bored and beaten R6+ teams too easily, also been in R6+ teams and gotten beat by IWAY.
What you have to remember is that IWAY is fricken huge on dmg but with limited defence, all it takes is few mistakes by the defending team and its GG

what really gets me about iway teams is its probably _the_ easiest build to play, i.e. it takes all of 0 skill to pull a half decent team, the strength is in the build alone. which says alot for the creator of the iway build, but not to the people that use it >.<

It did'nt take any skill for us to flawless a high ranked Guild in HoH with IWAY, but then again, it didnt take any skill for us to get a flawless against a IWAY team in HoH,
So I guess HoH is just overflowing with skilless players with nothing better todo, than copy each others builds

Theres just to many iways doing hoh now. Whats the fun? either the group is a pickup and cant work good togheter and are easily beaten or they are a good orginised one and will werry likely beat you. Famring hoh with iways seems to take some of the fun away

Before IWAY became the most played build ever in tombs, it was still mostly smiting back then I have beaten {EW} with it which ws rank 29 at the time. I mean rank on the guild ladder does not always mean skill. Though that doesn't mean that they suck either. I'm just saying rank is not a good way to judge. I even managed to get to hall with it so get over yourself.

Why is everyone so excited about who they have beaten?
I'm asking it in general, not someone specific.
If you play often enough you will face most guilds often - and sometimes you will win against them no matter how bad you are and how good they are. It's just a matter of fact that everyone looses sometimes. And if you know how to play well, you will win more often - but to beat the Nr. 1 Guild doesn't mean you are good or they suck. It doesn't mean anything.
So I can't really understand why people are so excited about winning against a good guild. (And also: not every build can counter every other build. Therefore you can win more often against a good team just because you have a pretty good counter against them...)

Riddle me this... if the Order necro in an IWay group is back doing his thing, and if Greater Conflag and Winter both happen to be cast on the good guys side such that the orders necro is outside of the spirits ranges but the combat isn't... are the orders still rendered ineffective; i.e. even though the necro doesn't see the spirits effect, is it still effective at negating the orders?

Yes, because the effect applies to the warriors, not the necro.

Good one. I've seen high rankers get swamped by smart PUGs...
That and the number of raw idiots claiming high rank is just too big for anyone to say that their rank determines their skill level.
I thought game skill determined that, not some stag that pops out of your arse...

I disagree. Some IWAY's are rather good & are not easy to stop. With that said IWAY's can be stopped but I've played in some good teams that have gotten whipped by IWAY.
