Odd Little Build (Necromancer).
I've been playing this build in comp/team arenas for two months now. I don't think it'd work that great for HoH or GvG, but it's just a lot of fun.
I call it the "assassin".
Pure Necro: (N/R or N/W will make you seem less threatening?)
Blood Magic: 11+3 + 1= 15
Curses: 10 + 1 = 11
Death magic: 10 + 1 = 11
Skills:
Life Transfer {E}
Life Siphon
Spinal Shivers
Rend Enchantments
Enfeeble
Well of the Profane
Plague Touch
Res Signet
Equipment:
-Cold-damage wand
-+30 HP focus (because extra HP is always nice)
Now, the way to play this build is to pick a non-primary, but threatening, target and shut them down while the rest of your team picks off the other. It works great against two-monk teams/distracting a monk who insists on spamming CoP.
It should be pretty obvious how to use it (it's just a headache build)-
-Toss Enfeeble on, say, a warrior if they're giving the monk a hard time
-Throw a few life siphons on people to cancel hex breaker
-Rend Enchantments
-Throw spinal on a caster
-Put on a Life Transfer to give them a hard time (I love interrupting remove hexes)
-Put on Life Siphon as a cover hex if necessary
-Put up a Well if anyone dies (because corpse exploiters in random/team are rare).
Known Problems:
-Energy management against people who know how to deal with spinal (I've only run into one).
-Kiting/Distortions. I'm debating what to lose so I can add a rigor mortis, maybe.
-Rangers. I need some way to make life hard for them.
-Being ganged up on when my monk is distracted. Occasionally people decide I'm a real prick and so they'll all go after me.
-Lack of a distinct focus: I really play this build mostly for fun, though...
I like playing my little "assassin" role, so I may work on adjusting it so it'll do for higher level PvP... if there's room for such a role.
