IWAY can be quite powerful if the other 3 non warriors can counter what kills warriors easily.
Enemy buffs, hexes, conditions.
I've never joined an IWAY group cause I'm w/n with better things to do... [lol] but I can imagine W/R IWAY with brains looking something like this.
12+1+3 Axe
7+1 Tactics
8+1 Strength [or all to strength if you don't use the spirit]
8 Wilderness Survival
Swift Chop
Eviscerate {E}
Exe. Strike
Fear Me!
I Will Avenge You!
Sprint
Charm Animal
Res Signet / Frozen Soil / Antidote Signet
Since there are 5 warriors, 3-4 of them can use res sig while the other ONEs use either Frozen Soil or MAYBE ant. sig if they're uncertain of their monk.
The last 3 should be either 2 monks for heal and prot respectively and a necro for well use [lots of bodies = lots of wells, maybe even minion master]
The prot monk should easily be able to keep hexes/conditions off of the team using the right skills whereas the heal monk can work in conjunction with a Bloody Death necro who's using a combination of Well of Suffering, Profane, Blood, and Power. Quite freakishly efficient really if you intend to hold the dias.
Problem? If the enemy team runs FAARR away from the dead pets pileup, IWAY won't feed you well if at all.
But 5 warriors shouting Fear me every four seconds is 3x5 energy every four seconds.
I'd LOVE to see an enemy team try to recover from 15e./4s. degen. [that's about 12 pips of energy degen... LOL!!!]

Our current IWAY mod: 4 IWAY W/R, 1 R/Me Trapper, 1 Tainted/Maelstrom N/E, 1 Death Nova/Prot N/Mo, 1 Orders/Heal N/Mo. Very effective.

I am not a little boy. I am a grown woman who happens to also be a mother. And it is a very effective twist on IWAY and a lot more fun to play than straight up IWAY. We have always used the orders necro as a heal party spammer. Now we simply replaced our 2nd trapper with the Necro prot and 9/10 it's gg for the noobs we just slaughtered. And btw, I spammed heal party right through an edge bomb last night. As soon as we saw they had eoe down, I backed up and started the spamming. Not one of my team died. When the smoke cleared, the timer read 0:33 and they were all dead and we weren't.

Bah, Iway is easy to beat, only the really modified versions have andy chance of success now, and generally because they're closer to a balanced build. I don't think it takes any fun out of the game, killing the opposing team in about a minute is always good, and pure IWAY or Order IWAY are easy to demolish.

I don't think IWAY takes the fun away. I love playing it, and I love going against it. It's easily beaten if you know wtf you're doing. It's easy winning with IWAY when Tombs is full of noob random PUGs. So many whine when they lose to IWAY, but honestly if you lost to an IWAY or IWAY mod, you deserved it.

Well, the ease of assembly is the annoying bit for IWAY. It's not that hard to plan a build that can withstand it, it's the fact that you MUST plan a build to withstand it that is the irritant. Because it is easy to assemble it is popular, because it is popular otherwise solid builds that have a weakness against IWAY have to be altered to deal with IWAY; every build has weaknesses, and you simply cannot afford to have IWAY as one of yours, even vs a noob team.
I don't have any complaints about IWAY the skill, or IWAY the build, save for the wretched abundance of them, and that because it can work even for complete idiots you are under threat of it unless you pack skills to deal with it. An unskilled air-spike group is amusing, but hardly deadly - un unskilled IWAY can still kill you as they function very independently compared to the coordination of an airspike (or other spike)

coordination is a skill, true. but if your team falls down coz some team rocked your coordination, thats not skill.
skill also is not cracking under extreme pressure or chaos.
iway = 8 independent individuals working as a team. thats what best about it.
ranger/ele/whatever spike = 8 individuals who are dependent on a caller/backup caller.
any IWAY (skilled or unskilled) can be beaten by people who know what theyr e doing. thats a fact.
