Ok, I'm an Elementalist/Monk, Level 20, Ascended, and I'm up to Droknor's Forge, can anyone recommend me a list of 8 spells (you name them, i'll have them/get them), and where to Farm for some nice amount of cash?
I looked through all these, and they seem ok, but I want to make sure of some good skills/farming places.
Oh and also what to put my Attribute points to.

12+2 Smiting (Will be +3 once I put my major rune in)
9+2 Protection
3 Divine Favour
Still need to do Attribute quests to get my protection to 12, but it works as is.
My skill setup is as follows:
1) Reversal of Fortune
2) Sheilding Hands
3) Symbol of Wrath
4) Mark of Protection {Elite}
5) Balthazar's Aura
6) Zealot's Fire
7) Retribution
8) Balthazar's Spirit
Mark of Protection pretty much assures that you WILL NOT be killed by almost any mob you are fighting due to the fact that you will kill pretty much any mob in under the 10 second duration of the spell. I find also that this spell is FAR better than Healing Hands simply because of the amount of healing you receive when using it. When I go farming in my spot, I can usually get about 3 Gold, 3 Blue, and 6 Purple (sometimes more) salvage items per run, which takes about 20 minutes.

Why are you running a scalp and a major for +3, then another major for +2, when you could instead get a superior and a scalp+minor for the same effect with 25 more health?

Runes don't stack, he has a scalp +1 and a +1 minor for a total of +2. Once he gets a major in, he replaces the +2 in his description with a +3 (scalp + major = 3). Hope that clears it up for you.

smiting 10

where did i go wrong?

First, you have no elite skills on that list, and the 2 skills that make for a very elite soloing run for monks are Shield of Judgement and Mark of Protection. Take your pick which one you should use (damage versus healing).
The objective is to maximize your ability to damage mobs. First buff you should be casting is Zealot's Fire, prior to even gathering the mobs. Keep the target on you. Once you get them collected and they just start beating on you, cast Healing Breeze to bump up your regen. As a side-effect, this will also damage all mobs around you because of Zealot's Fire. Then quickly cast Balthazar's Aura. This, at your smiting prayers level, should do 20 damage per second to all mobs around you. It will also do additional damage to the mobs around you because of Zealot's Fire. Then cast Symbol of Wrath.
Unfortunately the rest of your skills are somewhat weak in order to counter the damage the mobs are doing. Orison can't outheal them, and you have no points in Divine Favor in order to get decent results from Healing Touch. Healing Seed is going to do very little for you in this particular setup as well. Reversal of Fortune is worthless (imho) against gangs of mobs. It negates a single hit when you're getting hit by 4 or 6 mobs.
You really need to capture either Shield of Judgement or Mark of Protection in order to negate the DPS from the mobs. Either that or pull out one of the elementalist protection spells and use it. I haven't played enough with my elementalist to understand what's available at higher levels yet, so I can't answer that for you.
With your setup above, I can't imagine you'd be able to outlast the scarabs and do enough damage to be effective. You could try the Divine Boon trick and take that as your direct heal and just keep spamming it. It's a 3/4 second cast with immediate recharge. You could possibly get enough of those hits in to spam them with Zealot's Fire hits. But you'd probably want to improve your Divine Favor levels in order for that scenario to work well.

Any other alternatives to the typical Smiting/healing e/mo builds?

FYI: Roaming mobs (patrols) at Riverside may feature Sycophants (mesmer: Shatter Enchantments) so keep an eye on your upkeep monitor.

The Zealot Channeler has been updated.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=17620
Esaka, this is still a smiter, but it uses my Mo/Me foundation. It's amazing how many Mo/Me's you see out there now, I'd like to think I had something to do with that, lmao. You may find it more to your tastes. Also, if you have an idea for something you think would be cool give me a shout and I can try to make it work ya.
E/Mo farmer. More energy to last longer.
Mo/Me farmer. Energy management to last forever.
Also, if you are wondering why so many farming builds are monks it is 1. because smiting has some great aoe high damage, armor ignoring skills, but the main reason is the ability to heal. Anyone with a aoe skill can kill a mob, but they have to be able to live it. Monks are just the natural pick. I've tried some other combo's, good damage, but they all just end up dying.

To add to Lewicks post Tru Rider, maybe if you cant get shild of judgment or mark of protection, try getting Ether renewal and divine boon and after casting Ether, spam divine boon. It only last 10 secs but with all the smiting auras each cast should give you a big chunk of health/mana.

Was this done before they increased the strength of the flesh golems?
2nd question: I seem to die alot using a monk warrior and trying to farm. I dont know why I die since I use the same skills that you guys use. What am i doing differently? What is the best armour for farming also? I made a monk warrior just for farming and I cant even farm now since he dies all the time its kinda dissapointing

I used this farming Sand Drakes today, NE of Elona's Reach (at the most, I took down 2 lvl21 Drakes, a lvl25 Elementalist Sand Drake boss, and 4-5 of the little bug things that pop out-not the scorpion looking ones). I adapted it from some other builds that I've looked at.
Approximate Attributes:
Divine Favor 15
Smiting 11
Inspiration 8
*Divine Boon
Signet of Judgement (Elite)
Balthazar's Aura
Symbol of Wrath
Divine Spirit
*Zealot's Fire
*Channeling
Balthazar's Spirit
* - Essential Skills
You basically toss on Zealot's Fire and Channeling before battle, then use Divine Boon to heal yourself and cause damage. You can cast it twice a second.
If you do this right, you get 200 health/s, 60 PBAoE DPS (up to 105 with Balthazar's Aura and Symbol of Wrath), for free for up to 11, and cheaply after that. With this, I don't need Shield of Judgement, Mark of Protection, or Healing Hands, although you could replace a non-essential with one of those, if you really needed to. With Protective Spirit, this build should be able to kill high burst damage mobs like Hydras.
AlanD911 - This build works well, albeit a little slower, with Shielding Hands and Protection Prayers, instead of Channeling and Inspiration Magic. Also, Bonetti's Defense instead of Channeling would work very well, assuming that you get enough Adrenaline.

The Clam. That is basically my Zealot Channeler. And no offence, but in the places where it differs from my build is where it falls short. Signet of Judgement? Get rid of that. Shield of Judgement man! It reduces damage and deals damage in one. Get rid of symbol of wrath too. Long casting time, short duration, can't be increased by +enchantment duration. Divine spirit? No way. Just look at my build. It's kinda late since they really are ruining alot of the good farming places. But of the farming builds that are still effective I would rank mine as one of the best. But that's just me, of course I'm going to claim mine is the best. Try it out for yourself.

Oh, and there has been a change. Cast zealots fire and channeling before you aggro the monsters. Their duration is quite long so they won't turn off in battle, and it's best not to have to cast too many things other than divine boon while in battle. And btw, after cast is .75 seconds. Hence you cast divine boon once a second, but don't let that get you down, you will be owning everything farmable very quickly.

12+2 Smiting (Will be +3 once I put my major rune in)
9+2 Protection
say he gets his major rune of smiting. that would mean that 12+scalp+major=15 with a -50 life
protection is 9+major=11 and that also gives a -50 life
so overall you lose 100 life
You could easily change to
12+superior=15 -75 health
9+scalp+minor=11 -0 health
same stats, but 25 more health.

Just keep away from mobs that dispel enchantments. Like the Jade Scarabs (chilblains), and those eye things (shatter enchantment). For me at least everything goes to pieces.
