I'm using these stats/skills right now:
Soul Reaping 8
Swordsmanship 12
Tactics 10
(still have 14 atts but dunno where to put them)
Seeking Blade
Pure Strike
Savage Slash
"Watch Yourself"
Gash
Final Thrust
Healing Signet
Res Signet (i always carry it around)
16 armor shield and 15-22 sword
is there anything i would need to switch around? i can't farm worth crap in higher level areas :/

Let me know if someone does send it, since I'm very interested in watching this build in action.
Could anyone that has seen it in action tell me how this build is played and where it is at it's best farming?

as you saw last night, it did nothing for me while alone. Its great if the two of us go but I would like to be able to build something that lets me stand alone.

I've been using the same Suicide Monk technique, but with an altered build with my Mo/Me.
I pack Balthazar's Spirit, Zealot's Fire, Mend Condition, Divine Boon, Reversal of Fortune, Shielding Hands, Physical Resistance, and Shield of Judgement. I realised this morning that Divine Boon has no recast timer, is only 5 mana, and only takes a second to cast. I think I may be able to remove Reversal of Fortune in favor of spamming Boon. If I can (and maybe if I can't) I will sub in Balthazar's Aura for RoF.
My monk is prot/smiting/df/inspiration.

Perhaps a bit out of context, but what program are you using to record those videos?

No. Trust me, I've tried every possible build type and it's just not worth it. Try creating a new farmer toon or switch secondary to monk. The sad truth is that rangers AND mesmers have very limited survivability or healing. Troll's ungeunt and ethereal feast just don't cut it and whirling defense is worthless without lightning reflexes and dryder's defense chained with it. If you do this, you'll have almost no room left for dealing damage. It's possible, I suppose. But unless you're dead set against it (and enjoy the initial frustration), make a new character for it.
On a good note, my ra/me is hella fun in PvP (which is why I'm not going to change my secondary just to farm).

My personal best with E/MO is AoE killing four L24 Blessed Griffons in Snake Dance. It requires some tuning, spell timing, and mob placement, those things can get nasty if you are not careful.
Build: (Healing 9, Earth 8, Fire 11, Energy Storage 8.. approximate)
Mending
Essence Bond
Healing Hands
Armor of Earth
Aura of Restoration
Meteor Strike
Flame Burst
Lava Font
Note that all the PBAE spells are needed because Blessed Griffons cast spell breakers after 3 spells.
Have fun with this farming build cause I certainly am enjoying it! (can't beat 120g per kill and top equipment drops)

Here's the build I've been using to farm Mantle in Riverside:
(This is a variation on a build posted by Virtuoso a while ago)
Mo/W
Healing Prayers 13 (I have a Major Rune in this)
Divine Favor (leftover points, I forget offhand what it comes to)
Axe 8 (enough to use my best Axe)
Tactics 12
Healing Breeze
Mending
Watchful Spirit
Live Vicariously
Balthazar's Spirit
Cyclone Axe
Gladiator's Defense
Bonetti's Defense
Mending and Watchful Spirit give a constant 6 pip Regen. The bulk of the damage is done by Gladiator's Defense, which since Mantle hit rapidly is condiderable. Cyclone Axe adds a bit of damage and a generous chunk of health (with Live Vicariously), and also helps charge up Bonetti's Defense faster. Bonetti's refills the energy bar to make using Cyclone and Gladiator's easier. Balthazar's Spirit just adds a bit more energy and adrenaline to the mix. Healing Breeze is useful to pump regen to 10 for those times incoming damage is overwhelming 6 pips. Bonetti's and Gladiator's both povide a 75% hit rate debuff and one or the other is always up throughout the battle.
At my best I've been able to take on 9 Mantle simultaneously with this and win, though 6 is what I usually shoot for.
I tried it out against scarabs in the Crystal Desert and won there too, but it was more difficult, and I only did it once, so I'm not sure how consistent it would be.
This build, of course, works well only against melee. Anything else is just bad news.

Ok update on my previously posted build. It actually worked just fine without having to respec my base character I use for PvE. Works well for up to 6 melee mobs and I've actually used it against casters as well, but archers are problematic. Casters just require some management to get them close enough together to perform the AEs. The builds Setup rehash:
- Zealot's Fire
- Healing Breeze
- Shield of Judgement
- Balthazar's Aura
- Symbol of Wrath
- Mending
- Balthazar's Spirit
- Essence Bond
41 base energy with my smiting staff. First buff is mending. Regen to 41. 2nd buff is Balthazar's Spirit. Regen to 41. Finally apply Essence Bond. Stuck at 31. Find the targets you're trying to kill. Once you have them located, apply Zealot's Fire. Wrangle them up. Apply Healing Breeze. When energy at 15 (which is immediately with 6 melee mobs) apply Shield of Judgement. When energy at 25 (which is very quickly with 6 melee mobs) apply Balthazar's Aura. Apply Symbol of Wrath. Apply Healing Breeze. Watch mobs die.
After the fight, I turn off all buffs, regen to 41, then rinse and repeat.
Specs: 10+1 Marksmanship, 8 Expertise, 9 Smiting Prayers, 8 Healing Prayers. No runes at all. Smiting staff is +10 energy requiring 9 smiting prayers, but has +5 armor versus physical attacks (not that it helps.)
So I didn't have to modify my regular build just to do some extra collecting of items. Makes it very convenient.

this thread inspired me to make my e/mo. 1st video style, 2nd video build, but taking on flesh golems that cast a nasty degen spell, and an elite necro spell that dispels all buffs + more. many people said flesh golems were a melee axe only thing, stick with something else. no thanks!
3 groups, middle of fighting another group gets to close and agros. end result? tons of loot in 35 seconds
will probably make a fraps video if i can find a host, takes less than 5 minutes to kill them all anyways

Raralith, can you post your attributes and the spells in your spell bar? I can;t tell what they are from the picture.
I have an E/Mo that I intend to do the same with.
Thanks
