I want to know if other people have had such a luck I had the other day near Gates of Kryta... Found a nice chest there, took out the Key and opened it and found a purple axe:

Slashing Damage: 5-11 (Req. 1 Axe Mastery)
Damage +11%
Health Regeneration -1

I was astonished... this uber-item was priceless!

Nobody can ever get any worse thing! I had better white stuff at pre-searing! And this was purple... which usually means it's above average power level.

Let me know (and possibly see/buy) if you have found more uber-rare items in the game.

Yep agree this is most usless as there are no soul reaping skills.

True, but what will the future bring to us? Expansion is on it's way and I believe there will be Soul Reaping Skills coming up quite soon. That axe will not be of any use now or in future.

Some necros switch around between Death/Curses/Blood but always keep Soul Reaping, which makes this item useful for the +12 energy. Some people don't have time to collect the offhand Death/Curse/Blood items, so this item guarantess the +12 energy. It's useful...

except for the fact that there are no soul reaping skills whatsoever. so you have a 20% chance of casting something that does not exist faster. and for said non-existent skill to recharge faster as well.

so, i agree that this item is useful for +12 energy. however, the other bonuses are pretty much useless.

A while ago i got a healing anhk Enegy 12 (GOLD), so i identified it (thinking that i might get a good amount of money for it)

Healing Anhk
Healing prayers (req. 8)
Energy 12

Armor +4 (while hexed)

-5 energy

What is Guild Wars thinking, why would they even implament this sort of item upgrade, if its -50 health (it would help builds like the invinci monk) but -5 enegy, i dont think there is a way to make that help at all.

i ended up selling it for 120 gold

that bow is bad anyway you look at it

-67attack speed is more then tigers fury could do to make it faster, with tigers fury it'd make it -31 attack speed

its a longbow so it's slower then any other bow

it's 10 points of max dmg

35%always you can get from customizing a weapon that has 15% always with a penelty and have a faster weapon and you don't need tigers fury or frenzy in order to make it somewhat effective

Not quite the right thread, but I've picked up a few max items with Pruning as the mod. Must be the worst mod in the game. +15% vs Plants. Aren't pods and such the only plants in the game? And they're incredibly easy to kill in the first place.

edit: Also, in response to that long bow issue up there... I disagree entirely. If it was max dmg, I'd actually USE that bow. The only time I use my longbow (Storm Bow in my case, but same difference) is when I'm drawing a mob into aggro, before switching to my Short Bow for the actual fight. Getting +50% (Customize too) dmg with the only shot I use the bow for sounds alright to me.

pruning is an upgrade
the bow isn't max dmg, we're talking about the worste item in the game, if it was max dmg some people would use it and you'd get 1 shot most likely before anything during pve or pvp got to you

With TF and IWAY up you could just about negate the penalty...

If it was a Shortbow and max damage I'd use it all the time with TF/Frenzy and IWAY +55% after custom all the time would be pretty devestating.

Naaa those items are awesome
Now my elle's fire staff is uber shite Req 13 fire improves casting speed using curses 5% improves skill recharge using domination magic 4% chance +2 to energy and it was a gold drop from the chest in fow

why would you use these skills just to make a bow that isn't max dmg half decent, iway still wouldn't make it worth it to have that skill there isn't always dead allies laying around you to be somewhat useful you might aswell just use a normal max dmg longbow with no +dmg on it and make you shoot faster and have the same dmg output
