I fought against invinci monk yesterday. it was 105HP build because after I had used Shadow Strike (100 damage if you have 16 points in blood magic) he was almost dead. gotta love armor ignoring attacks
if I had not forgotten to use Awaken the Blood he would have died with 1 hit. blood magic 18 means that I can do 110 damage with Shadow Strike. bye bye invinci monks!

/agree
There's nothing wrong with being gay. That's just like saying black people suck (they don't) or Jews suck (they don't).

well arenas is fun cause there is alot of w/mo's.. My favorite build to play in arenas is a touch ranger- made it to droks quite a few times in random couple weeks back- not a sure thing like playing a monk but it's alot of fun cause it's one of those all around asskickers that works against alot of builds there + you'll get alot of wtf just happened when your a ranger's running around with a sword taking out warriors lol it has weaknesses but vamp touch and stance is usually enough to stay alive for quite awhile even if your loaded with hexes
equip-
henge sword (+5 energy)
zealous mod
+30 health mod
blood offhand from drokars
+12 energy
+1 blood (20%)
+30 Health
attribs-
12+4 expertise
12 blood
skills-
touch of agony
dark pact
vampiric touch
barbed signet
res signet
lightning reflexes
whirling defense
life siphon
it takes a little practice to get used to but basically you play it like a warrior.. run in front of your group and stance if you take damage- cycle through agony pact touch until you run out of mana.. they'll usually be face down ass up by then- you have barbed when your out.. even with low mana this build stays effective cause the cost is so low on your attacks =] and it's gay which is the best part- the life siphon works good on the runners

but, seriously, if you can't hurt a character while you attack them, just sit back and watch what skills they're using. It's not like you're doing anything else. That'll give you A) knowledge as to what your target is using, which means you can plan out a counter, and B) an idea of what is effective when, so you can make better skill choices later on.
Patience is one thing, but paying attention is much better.

it's pretty easy to counter warriors with the right secondary or primary, because your mainly playing a one dimensional attack

You would know know, wouldn't you?
Warriors rock your socks in CA. Three Warriors and a Monk is a great draw and will get you to TA almost all the time.
