Warriors are the best damage machines in the game. They have spike capability and can also sustain the best dps.
They have many counters though, partially because they are the only class not completely vulnerable to energy denial and otherwise because of their absurd power.
Typically warrior build looks like this:
16 weapon
9 Strength
10 Secondary Attribute
frenzy
sprint
3-5 weapon skills
secondary skills
Warrior/monk lets you take strength of honor and judges insight, the former being crappy with renewal up. Warrior/Necro really isn't that great; plague touch and rend are okay but it's more of an arena build.

"Okay"? With Renewal snuffing out BOTH of the monk buffs, the W/N is ok?
I think you should look at it from a more objective point of view. If you want more offense disruption [Rend], look into W/N. Plague Touch is quite offensive/disruptive as well. For more dmg but less disruption, Monk Smiting is quite fierce, though you can't do anything about enemy defenses... [Shield of Judgement owns W/Mo]

Renewal does not screw judges insight completely.
Yes the 4s cast time blows but under renewal it is the only playable buff and is excellent for hammer combos or general adrenaline spikes.
Sticking rend on a warrior isn't stupid since it's good and needed, but since you usually want rend on call, and as having 10-13 energy as a warrior really isn't guaranteed unlike other classes, unless you're using some battle rage build, you may not be able to get the rend when needed. Plague touch is meh outside of arena. In tombs you will have martyr and ample condition removal anyway, and I generally find myself using lots of energy, especially with zephyr up (very often it is nowadays) when I'm just using a non-zealous weapon.
In the current metagame where water ele's are unplayable, I'd rather have Ward against foes than either of the above 3 skills, but the OP said /mo or /n. meh

Where condition removal is proficient, I'd say the W/Mo with smite hex and hex removal backup probably has the edge. Nailing 3 enemies with 60+ dmg a pop for 5 energy armor ignored is hot stuff.

Im a healing monk that loves to pvp whether in gvg or topk or team arenas. Let me tell you now, I am not scared of any warriors in pvp, save one. The warrior/elementalist that uses a hammer. Those monsters run up to me, knock me down and aftershock usually resulting in my losing alot of life. For pvp, Go with a w/e using kd/as.
Dont use w/mo if your gunna bring healing skills btw. I always laugh when people say TANK LFG for whatever pvp arena im at because there are no tanks in this game. Humans know better then to go for warriors first, casters are always first to die.

if you want a really mean axe build, w/mo and w/n are the wrong places to look. w/r is the place to be.
16 axe, 9 str 10 beast master
eviscerate/cleave depending what you need... i reccomend evisc
penetrating blow
executioners
distracting chop
rush/sprint
TIGERS FURY
res signet
that leaves you with 3 damage skills, a disrupt attack, a speed boost, res and most importantly.... tigers fury. far, FAR better than frenzy. smart teams will quickly catch onto a frenzy warrior and spike his ass when he uses it. this also leaves you one spot open in case you have need for a spirit from the beast mastery line, or another goody from one of the warrior lines.

snip...
while KD/as warriors are definately tough, mainly because they can reliably interrupt and pin down a monk to DEAL damage... dont underestimate the power of brute force. the w/r i posted above frequently crits over 100, occasionally over 130, and has cleared 150 with judges insight on it. especially when working in CONJUNCTION with a kd/as warrior, its really brutal. but if you can catch a monk when he is a little low and in process of healing someone else... with the attack speed boost on TF, its quite possible to spike the monk by yourself before he can heal if you get a couple lucky crits. lets not even talk about the 230-250+ crits i landed on this poor 17 ele in random arenas the other night

=/
16 axe 9+1 str 9 curses
eviscerate
penetrating blow
axe rake
disrupting chop
sprint
Frenzy
rigor mortis
plague touch/res sig/rend/defile flesh
yeah basic axe warrior build. its going to suck when a good warrior player hits a disrupting chop on your orison or healing touch
