Edge of Extinction
Is this the best skill ever, or is this the best skill ever?
I was with my guild tonight, and last night... and the night before that, and we've used 4 henchies, and we still manage to beat most teams. Even healing balls. We still haven't managed to actually beat a 'Good' team, like iQ or sB, but we have beat alot of the teams that win HoH.
But we keep having 'draws'.... About 10 times in a row. Once we beat the whole team, and then another guy loaded the game late. That was.... wow... so annoying.
So what do other people think about this kickass skill?

It's a particularly annoying spell, especially when it is cast just before the timer runs out on the alter HoH map and they've still got all their players alive. that's a lot of damage to the 'victors', and may kill them if not on max health.
It's a Spirit, so not the best skill. If a team sees you put it down (and unless they are idiots they will), then they could kill it easy, especially with the new nerf to spirit builds, as you can only put one down at a time.
Still, if you are against idiots that assume spirits are shite (even after the spirit spam escapade) and never remove them, then it could indeed seem like 'the best skill ever'.

hehe, unlucky.
Though after the first few times didn't you kinda say 'hang on, let's kill that bastard ranger before he drops EoE?' Of course, if you were against spirit spammers, then that wouldn't be possible
Still, only one EoE can be put down now.

Oh, Man! I just had a really fun idea.
A team of Necromancers, a couple of whom have EoE on their secondary Ranger.
7 of them start by charging, so they are out of range of the 8th. The 8th just backs up into the farthest corner they can find.
One of the 7 Necros lays down EoE, and they wait for the enemy to approach. As soon as the entire team is in range, 6 of the 7 just sacrifice themselves to death in a huge self-killing spike while the last one works on rending enchantments. EoE does the rest. 7 of your team dead -- 8 of the enemy dead. You win.
It might take a little tweaking, but I'll bet you could get it to work! ::Sniff, sniff:: New FotM anyone?

Already been done=P Its too unpreditable. 7 deaths = 350 damage which is not enough to set off a chain.

See if you can get someone to bring divine intervention to use on himself against the EoE... or else you probably have to get prepare to run far... spirit have a radius about 3/4 default radar.

Monk? Who said anything about our monk being important....
Yeh, most teams think we are noobs, but we've killed, and beat lots of good guilds. Right now we're tryign to balance it out against the Relic Runs. But seriously, the monk is just so we can beat the unworthy's
We don't spirit spam, but we have a lot of people with it.

So the reason the last Necro is in the corner is so he isn't affected by it?

In my little fun build-proposal, yes. He doesn't actually have to be a necro though, he just has to survive.
And I think 350 damage can do pretty well, if the necros are rending enchantments and Shadow Striking or something. As I said, I haven't put too much thought into it, and I have no intention of actually playing it, but it is the hokey sort of one trick pony build that turns into a FotM really quick. The new version of the all ranger team.

I don't know about your build, but I do know that bringing edge of extinction into random arenas REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, pisses people off. It's like a sin or something.
