Best Caster/Warrior Combo?
I've always liked multipurpose characters, and GW is no exception. I'm trying to decide what the most effective and brutal Caster/W build would be. Whether its an IW Me/W, or a PBAoE E/W, doesn't matter, I'd just like to see some discussion on which character class has the best synergy with a secondary warrior profession, and why?
So here are the options:
E/W
Me/W
Mo/W
N/W
And I'm not looking for responses along the lines of "casters are for n00bs", or "Mo/W is teh best because of Mending" and such. Also, it doesn't matter whether its for PvE or PvP, but if you want to include reasons why for both, thats fine.

I think an E/W would be a ver effective combination.
Earth skills:
Ward Against Mellee
Ward Againat Elements
Armor of Earth
Firestorm
Fire skills (nukes):
Meteor Shower
Meteor
Pheonix
You could even use Water as a way of protecting your casters/monks. If someone/something starts charging your monk throw some ice spikes at them or a forzen burst and then start pounding them. Mist Form and Armor of Mist would take care of your armor needs.
Bonetti's Defense would be a good source of energy regeneration so you wouldn't really need points in Energy Storage. Choose a weapon to dump stats into and then conjure an element to enchant your weapon and add more damage.
I haven't build a caster warrior before but this is the route I'd go if i did.

Why would Bonetti's cause my untimely demise?

well, it does require adrenaline, so perhaps he means by the time you get it up you will already be dead. Im not sure about this though.

I vote for the IW shutdown Me/W with Blackout (and maybe Flurry if you're fast enough)

Well, heres two options
A Me/R <-- illusionary weaponry+tigers fury using a sword(technically is a war).
Ive heard of good E/W. Can inflict weakness with axe and use stone daggers if they are running and then eq+as with glyphs.

And you would do that exactly because Flurry isn't available? How the hell did you get into Do Not Pass Go?
EDIT: Sorry, that sounded woefully rude. All I'm saying is that it's a bad combo.

flurry is much better than tigers fury for the IW build. u really shouldnt need to raise attribute in beast mastery just to get tigers fury up in secs. flury just needs u to be a warrior and is in the general skills. the speed is nice and the less dmg doesnt work cause u are not actually hitting them with ur swd.

Self repeation ftw.
Also, with Flurry you don't get the 5 second disable that comes with Tiger's Fury.

Well, I'm not really looking to tank so in the early game, if all else fails you can bring Stefan.
What I'm looking for is a quick fighter who can move in, do a bunch of damage, then get out.
The only issue I think is that both Me and Ele have armor enhancing spells/skills, and if done right, the Mes primary makes a devastating DPS warrior. The only problem as I see it, is that both Ele and Mes rely HEAVILY on enchants, with long recharge times, so if they get dispelled, you're toast.
The Nec on the other hand has the highest base armor of the casters, plus has skills in the Curses line that make the enemy unable to effectively deal damage, such as Enfeeble and Shadow of Fear. And if you can rely on your team's healers, you can forego Blood Magic completely, and Curse the heck out of everything, then slice it up, and then either raise it or blow it up with Death Magic.
As you can probably tell, I'm leaning towards Nec!

LOL Life Transfer is not the best Necro elite you can get in PvP.

E/W, with air, earth, and it doesn't matter if you're sword/axe/hammer, but I personally prefer sword. Skills are:
Blinding Flash (optional)
Gale (optional)
Enervating Charge
Armor of Earth
Iron Mist (optional)
Thunderclap {E}
Final Thrust
Savage Slash
You have a sword hilt that has your sword do lightning damage, and Thunderclap keeps them knocked down often. Aftershock would be a nice skill to have with this, and could easily replace gale. Enervating charge would be for the weakness, blinding flash in case they're doing more damage than you are (can be replaced with rez sig), armor of earth for armor of course, and iron mist in case someone's getting a little to annoying (works a little bit like pacifism, except you can do damage to then since you're doing lighting damage. Can also be replaced with rez sig/aftershock).

It's not but the point of that build is mass health degeneration and quite a bit of health regeneration.

As people have already stated, I was making suggestions from the Elementalist class that would compliment a Warriors Skill Set. An E/W using Bonetti's is no different than a pure warrior using Bonetti's. Both classes can benefit from the energy regen but they have to keep themselves alive long enough for it to charge up.
Also, had you read my whole post you would have seen the part where I suggested putting points in the weapon of choice and then enchanting that weapon with the element of choice.
Very obviously you were talking out of your anus.

There are better skills than Life Transfer as an elite for mass health degeneration. For health regeneration, I suppose you COULD take Life Transfer, but it would be a one shot heal at 14hp per second for 10-11 seconds. Not really worth it considering the recharge.
