Red face W/Me farming :)

Is it possible? If so, is it worth it?

I looked around the forums and haven't found much. I am a new level 20 so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just got to 20 in my first run through the game (almost beaten it) and would hate to level up a Mo/W just to farm...

Anyone want to brainstorm some possible ways of using a W/Me to farm?

The only partial build/strategy I've thought up so far is something like:

Aggro 4+ melee mobs,
1. Doylack Signet
until adrenalin buildup, then
2. Dismember
3. Axe Twist
then (hopefully doylack is still up)
4. Epidemic
5. Victory is Mine

Rinse, repeat, with smatterings of cyclone axe.

Not sure if this is visable--I'll try it out shortly. Any ideas? Suggestions? (yes, i've searched through the forums!)

Gladiator's defense would be nice also.

Bonetti's Defense is the prefered choice for energy regain, don't even need hardly any point's into tactics for this skill to work its magic either.

You could always change your secondary to Monk and you are set up for farming, but if you are set on W/Me then I don't know as I haven't played mesmer much.

Epidemic is the heart and soul of a W/Me farmer. Thing is, you won't have hardly any energy should the mobs decide to spread out. I'm building a W/N farmer around Mark of Pain, and if I'm not careful, my target will move away from his friends to avoid killing them. I think the AI is getting somewhat smarter.

How about this?

Tactics 12 + 3 + 1 hat
Swordsmanship 12 + 1

Flurry
Sever Artery
Gash
Epidemic
Gladiator's Defense
Shield Stance
Bonetti's Defense
Healing Signet

Sorry if it stinks; I made it up off the top of my head.

Epidemic is garbage for a Warrior. It's 15 energy, and at best you'll spread 3 points of degen or something. That's not gonna save you from any creatures worth farming.

I put about 200 hours into being a War/Mes, and from my experience the best way to farm was to use Illusionary Weaponry and Flurry, along with Healing Signet and Empathy.

Gladiator's Defense is another decent option, especially if you throw lots of points into Tactics. However, the only thing you'll use Mesmer for is Empathy and maybe Conjure Phantasm, so I'd recommend looking into something more viable to farm with. Perhaps an Elementalist or Monk or even Necro secondary. Between Ward vs Melee and Armor of Earth and Watch Yourself, you just won't die.

He's not using epidemic to cause damage, but to fuel his ViM. Makes it a huge heal by having so many conditions around him.

correct.

2 conditions, of which 1 is Weakness (-90% dmg), splattered out would ensure that you're not getting hit hard and that you can regen energy/life with the shout. the trick would be building up the adrenalin before the signet ran out, else you'd probably get interrupted in the 2 seconds it costs to cast epidemic. balanced stance might help with that.

gladiator's wouldn't work with this build unfortunately as it's an elite.

and bonetti's only gives +energy, which is taken care of by the shout.

so i'm not sure of a good way to cause AoE other than Cyclone. i have to test this, which i can do now that i'm not at work.

also, i didn't realize until a minute ago i could switch out my secondary at will now. sweeet. and to think i was all worried i'd have to start a new character... this mmorpg is so end-game friendly!

i was also looking at Echo as a possible skill, but haven't figured out what to duplicate yet. o, if i could only use 2 elite skills!
