Default over looked hammer warrior...?

ive noticed just about everyone here goes "aha axe warrior" when they see a w/r.

so just for kicks i went out and tried out a hammer bulid that uses TF (this is NOT about tf vs frenzy, so plz...)

ok so here was my build:
attribs:
16 hammer
the rest in strength, unless you did this in a 4-4 in which case you need like 8-9 for tactics (helaing signet)
irresistable blow
backbreaker {E}
counter blow
hammer bash
TF
sprint
res sig

leaving you with one extra - this can depend on where you are. if you plan on doing it in TA i would suggest healing signet.

otherwise, you might want to go with mighty blow or something. for the extra damage. or maybe warriors cunning, if thats more in your line. anyway i used a healing sig because i tested this in TA.

well this is my analysis of how effective it was in a 4-4 environment:

for attacking warriors, this was amazingly funny. counterblow charges quick, and unless you meet some annoying wamo who just happens to cast breeze while you use it, they were doing situps. especially with the adrenaline getting charged nicely. then once it was high enough for back breaker, this one is a killer; counter blow, back breaker, hammer bash. (notice how i use only 3 adrenal skills, so hammer bash only knocks out like 1 strike of adrenaline). this one got them really pissed since they were spending hilarious amounts of time lying down.

for attacking a more squishy target: they usually ran, so sprint was up instead of TF. however, hammerbash (which charges relatively fast) was invaluable especially after a backbreaker hit. coupled with irresistable blow which can add a knockdown to an aegis/guardian monk, it was definetly worth the adrenaline loss. generally i was able to keep up pressure on those prot spirit spammers with TF if they chose to stand in place, and i was almost always able to kill them (with the exception of getting killed first, which is a big issue for a 4-4 random arenas )

all in all it was definetley on par with an axe warrior - at least as far as i played it.

any feedback/suggestions on making this better?

Alright build but id rather mine with frenzy and aftershock than tigersfury but TF would work better in PvP ppl hit warriors. I dunno how well ur build went but the counterblow would work well on warriors hitting u

well my hammer warrior goes like this:

Sprint
Frenzy or beserkers stance
Healing signet
Devastating hammer - E / dont use backbreaker - too high ad
Crushing Blow
AftershocK
Heavy Blow
Mighty Blow / id rather this than hammer bash / or use counterblow

But i always die against ele's when i attack one and the other just spikes me whilst i frenzy and it really hurts and after i realize im nearly dead i chuck on sprint to run away but then they throw another lightning orb at me and im dead. So i havnt tried the tigers fury yet coz i like the aftershock combo. Also the Counter blow would work well against warriors but i never go after warriors anyway

basically mine works like this:

Frenzy/BeserkersStance (build up ad) -> Devastating Hammer -> Crushing Blow -> Mighty Blow -> Heavy Blow -> AfterShocK

actually in my experience the lack of a condition remover was the main killer. enervating charge/enfeeble almost always made me useless. aside from that, if i met an ele that wasnt using that the advantage of tf is obvious since most eles switch to you (you are the one doing the most damage). tf lets you attack fast without the frenzy side effect... but thats not the point.

imo, aftershock is a waste of energy. just use irresistable blow for some nice kd/damage. its not like aftershock can bypass any prots they have on, and irresistable can do like ~110 damage on a monk.

and actually, in a 4-4 setting, i noticed if you attack a warrior, they usually switch to you, to make a kinda 1-1 battle because there are no monks. in that case counter blow is just hilarious, they barely ever even pull of 2 hits

also i tried to make every attack be at least a plausible kd, so you can always have something to knock people down with.

about backbreaker... yea... i guess you are right. it takes forever. i guess ill switch to devastating hammer ^^
