Question Traps don't interupt traps?

I was going through TA last night, and I was using Flame Trap for a quick damage boost (worked a couple times, too, but not good enough to keep seriously). As I was going, I ran into a team with 2 trapers. Turned out I was on the better team overall, so we managed to back 3/4 of them into a corner. Every now and then, one of the Rangers would charge out, drop a Barbed Trap and a Dust Trap, then run back into their corner. I figured out a patern to this, so I started droping Flame Trap at their doorstep. As luck would have it, I was setting up another trap when the opposing ranger's Barbed Trap went off, and I was caught in the AoE. But, I still managed to set up Flame Trap. Granted, I had Whirling Defence, but it wasn't active when this happened, and that wouldn't matter anyway, because I took damage and was crippled and started bleeding, but it didn't interupt my Flame Trap, which went off a second later.

This got me thinking. Maybe traps don't count towards "easily interupted", with the obvious exception of Spike Trap, which has knockdown, and that interupts everything. Anyone else ever notice this? Is this a bug?

I think traps can only be interrupted by attacks (melee, bow, staff, wand), interrupt skills (Leech Signet for example) or knockdowns.

Good thing about spike trap is it will interrupt even someone using mantra of concentration or resolve. Personally i think trappers arent so great anymore with more people aware of them. My warriors always carries wild blow with him and ill knock the stance off you so fast you'll be running around looking for a moment to even dare lay down a trap. Of course i play trappers too and i have to admit.. warrior builds are often narrow minded and dont have any stance breakers included. Kill the ignorant...die to the smart. GW in a nutshell

"easily interruppted" means any attack interrupts.
traps do NOT do attack damage!

all interrupts, but knockdown, are generalkly prevented by mesmer mantras.
