Protection/Healing Monk Build
I'm trying to put together a good PvE healing/protection monk build. Please keep in mind that I'm pretty new to this stuff, so please, no flaming, even if some (or all) of my build seems ill-thought out and stupid.
Infuse Health
Healing Touch
^Someones health drops precipitously, I hit them with Infuse and then heal myself with Touch. Dead useful.^
Orison of Healing - hold over in case I need it while Heal Other is recharging
Healing Breeze - counters health loss over time (as in poisoning, etc.), or just to prop up someone while I focus elsewhere
Heal Other - Pretty obvious application here...it heals...others...
Mend Condition - removes poisoning, blindness, etc.
Reversal of Fortune - cast on the parties tank(s)
Rebirth - best res spell I have because of the teleportation aspect of it
So that's what I have so far. Any comments, suggestions, critiques, etc. would be appreciated. What would be especially appreciated is anything that can help me energy management. I'm a Mo/N, if that helps. Please, once again, no flaming me. Have a nice night

Here's my mixup:
1st slot: Orison of healing
2nd slot: Shielding hands
3rd slot: Healing Breeze
4th slot: Healing Seed
5th slot: Mend Condition/Mend ailment
6th slot Shield of regen/or Aegis
7th Slot: Divine Boon <it's like an extra divine favor boost to your heals>
8th slot: Rebirth
Attribute lines: 14 healing, 11 divine, 8 prot <still doing +15 att quests>
I have ran this monk like this, and I've only ever lost 2 people due to death that I couldn't heal.
That's my build. It works wonders. I love it especially with a +6 shield of regen ontop of my 9+ healing breeze saves pretty much anyone as they stack =)

I have gotten in a groove with:
1) Prot Spirit (Only 12 secs with me now...but still nice to buff Warriors with)
2) Restore Life (I like the healing & energy Rez)
3)Vigorous Spirit (Cheap Spamable spell)
4)Healing Touch (MY heal..and nice with boon..Like a Word of Healing for me)
5)Heal Breeze (This is my swap-out box, sometimes I put in Mend Aliment, etc)
6)Blessed Sig (Nice with Enchants...even if only running boon)
7)Divine Boon
8)Word of Healing (Fantastic with boon...also a cheap spamable spell)
I have been running with: 15 Heal, 14 Divine, 6 Prot, ZERO leftovers

Doesn't Divine Boon make you lose energy when the ally gets hit?

No...only when you cast a spell on and ally while having boon on you.

I've found this build to be pretty effective. Have you tried "Infuse Arena" from guild-hall.net? The healing in this build is based roughly on the concepts from that build. The rest is protection magic. This build is best used in "tough" areas such as FoW and Underworld -- in other areas, I found that just straight healing tends to be more effective since the enemies don't do that enough damage.
This build can be used by all monks, and assumes that you have at least 1 other monk in your party:
14 Protection, 12 Healing, 11 Divine Favor
Reversal of Fortune - counters spike damage
Guardian - counters most forms of attacks
Orison of Healing - to help provide a little "healing buffer"
Word of Healing {E} - same functionality as Heal Other, etc. at 5 energy
Protective Spirit - counters heavy spike damage (eg: Aatxe attacks in the Underworld)
Shielding Hands - counters small but rapid amounts of damage
Mend Ailment OR Holy Veil (depending on the area you're in) - condition/hex removal
Rebirth - the aggro-avoiding res spell
Here's another protection build based on Divine Boon if you're Mo/N:
15 Divine Favor, 11 Protection, 10 Blood Magic
Reversal of Fortune
Guardian
Shielding Hands
Protective Spirit
Mend Ailment OR Holy Veil
Divine Boon - allows you to heal (for about 100HP each spell) while casting protection spells
Offering of Blood {E} - to keep your energy at safer levels
Rebirth
