Default Does channeling work?

I have heard that it does not work as advertised, is this true?

the range is a bit too tiny to make it effective enough, I think they could boost up the range by a bit, like 20%-50% or something.

It does what it says but the radius is too small. When I used it on my mo/me in PvE I had to get closer to the combat than I would prefer.

Channeling's radius is why I no longer use it on my prot monk in PvP. In tombs, I use spirit of failure a good bit. In gvg, power drain is nice.

Have a look at this:

http://www.guildwiki.org/wiki/Range

(Aside: the longbow range doesn't seem right)

According to the spell description, the range is "in the area."

IMHO it's too small to be effective and needs a buff, maybe to shout range.

I find it being good enough. It works pretty well. It's all about positioning yourself in the right places. My monk loves it.

I never used to like it, as i prefered to stay back wheneevr possible. But recently i seem to do a lot of standing in wards / balling for iway / whatever and it has been working quite nicely

The range of channeling is equivalent to that of a ward. Just to clear things up.

It can be very usefull spell - you can gain more mana than you use with the spell.

Hmm the Area of a Ward. That's pretty good. Good enough i'd say.

SoF is even better with IWAY. I have NO energy problems because they have no hex removal.
