Smiting Swordsman - Mo/W
Experimenting to see if this works/has ever been done.
In trial arena runs, it dishes out LOADS of damage (most I've ever seen) due to Balthazur's Aura and Hundred Blades.
But it's practically defenseless
Hoping for input on improvement ideas - or to throw it out entirely.
Smiting 15 (sup headpeice)
Sundering Sword of Fortitude
PvP healing ankh
Sever
Gash
Final
Hundred Blades (Elite)
Balthazur's Aura
Healing Sig
Healing Breeze
Rez signet
Thinking of bringing SoJ in place of Hundred Blades to help defense.
HUGE holes in this build - but the damage it deals blinds me to it's defenselessness.
Help would be appreciated!

First Hundred Blades is trash. Switch to Axe is my opinion. Now for the serious question:
How is this in any way comparable to or superior to a W/Mo? In Glad's + Focus (+5/45/12). The only difference is you might attract attention being a monk, but most Mo/W outside of 8v8 are immediately suspect as Smiters. If you start sword swinging or smiting, my team switches to your next most savory target (Mesmer, Necro, Ele).
SoJ >>>> Hundred Blades. One reason is you can cast it on your Mesmer, Necro or Ele.

I actually just recreated this build as W/Mo....
Took balth aura and sprint tho...working better.
EDIT:
Rebuilt W/Mo
swordsmanship - 13
strength - 12
smiting - 8
tac - 5
sever
gash
final
hundred
sprint
balth aura
heal sig
rez sig
I have 25 energy and use Balth off the top with sword hits and it does HUGE damage. I'm still a bit defenseless but am lasting MUCH longer in the arenas.
I'll try this build with axe and maybe SoJ.
Thanks Arc

Standard Axe builds go something like:
Eviscerate+Axe Twist/Rake+Executioner's Axe and/or Penetrating Blow (Pen Blow takes less adrenaline, does less damage). You might consider Symbol of Wrath as a cheapy smite vs. typically stupid Comp Arena warriors and melee'ers.

ok this might be trashing mo/w but in general there are far better builds to this first of the wa/mo with soj
soj is in my opinion u great offencife and defencive skill ( in gb put in on the mo )
also scourge healing and smite hex is wicked trough in purge conditions and symbol of wrat / jug insite and your wa mo will have a blast my vavorite build
a 0 strengt wa that uses jug inside
1 final trust
2 healing sig / if you realy whant to be a palading use the mending + healing brease 2 and 7
3 jug ins basicly 20 strenght
4 soj elite
5 smite hex / scourge defend vs the nec and wreck the mo
6 scourge/ symbol of wrath / mending
7 purge conditions / i way / sprint / utilety
8 rezz
secondly
el mo are far better smiters
1 stone daggers
2 obsidian flame
3 armor/aura ress or skip to get smite hex depends gb skip team arena keep the aura
4 glymps lesser energie
5 bal aura
6 soj
7 scourge / smite hex
8 rezz
thats my 5 cents
