R/W Running build? Is it Possible?
I have just created a new Ranger and was wondering if the Droks run, or any major run, can be done with a R/W?
I have been sent many builds and skills in-game but none of them seem to work. My set up is this.
Wilderness Survival= 14 (12+ major rune)
Expertise= 10
Tactics= 5
Skills:
Escape
Dodge
Storm Chaser
Troll Ungent
Serpents Quickness
Balanced Stance
Whirling Defence
Antidote Signet
I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong, but for some odd reason I can't figure it out.
If someone could please point out my mistakes and tell me how to fix it, it woud make my day! =)

What you did wrong was too many stances, the only one you even need is balanced stance. That's what makes a warrior runner more attractive, is the higher al, and the chance to put more than 12 in tactics for balanced stance.

I would drop Whirling Defense for Rush to get some more sprint time for free after you use Balanced Stance, since you will have the Adrenaline built to use it.
A R/W runner's main weak point is lack of Hex Removal

What he's saying is that since you can only have 1 stance active at a time, the majority of your bar will remain useless. Since knock-downs and hexes are your biggest killers during the droks run, Balanced Stance is clutch and R/W will have a hard time with snaring hexes.

The right R/W is actualy the best running build out there, better than any W/Mo:
Escape
Storm Chaser
Sprint
Dodge / Balanced Stance
Troll Unguent
Healing Signet / Antidoe Signet
Lightning Reflexes
Whirling Defense
Simply cycle through Escape, Storm Chaser, Sprint, and Dodge to give you almost 100% faster run all the time.

6 Tactics
10 Wilderness Survival (modified to 11)

Take out Escape and swap in Charge! since you can have Balanced/Whirling on at the same time. But that is basically only for Drok, high level runs, otherwise Escape is good.
I run people all the time from Ascalon to all over the desert with my R/W. Can do some Shiverpeakes and made Droks once.

They run faster then warriors, but that's about it.. I haven't seen a ranger solo a Droknar's Forge run.. even got into a discussion in game and got the ign of someone that supposedly can do it
Still not believe it till I actually see him standing in front of the gate

For basic Ascalon-to-wherever and desert runs, sure Ranger skills can keep a faster run speed than Warrior skills. But the OP was talking about the Droks run. None of the skills you listed will keep you alive when deep freeze'd by ice golems. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but it seems you'd need good spawns and even then some luck. Or maybe you just have to be a much better runner than I.

Lets see, what happens when you encounter your 4 lovely friends, the frost wurms. Escape + Balanced Stance? I don't think that would work... They are both stances.
