Marksmanship - 10+1
Beastmastery - 1+1
Smiting Prayers - 10

Quickshot(E)
Dual Shot
Penetrating Shot
Favourable Winds
Tiger's Fury
Judges Insight
Savage Shot
Pin Down

This build emphasizes on dealing lots of damage through penetrating damage/speed. A Zealous Halfmoon/Shortbow of Marksmanship would be used.
Please give suggestions please.

Get rid of Quick Shot as your elite and use Barrage combined with Judges for lots of dmg to lots of targets (up to 6 i think). Also, what were you planning on with pin down, i would grab another dmg spell (power shot or something) or a rez sig. Also, with 13 pts in expertise it would be better to use lightning reflexes; it lasts longer and you evade 75% of attacks and it doesnt disable any skills. Maybe some other things too, but i would change what i have mentioned. -Danny Lohner-

Actually, definately swap pin down with a rez sig. I read it was for PvP after i posted.

Favorable Winds does stack with Read the Wind, as well as with Winnowing. Hehe, why do you think ranger spike is so nasty ?

Also, to the OP. I would take out penetrating and swap in Read the wind, Also, use a flatbow if you're using read the wind (and favorable if you decide to keep it), because it's oh so nice.

The Armour Piercing Machine Gun Ranger Build

Quickshot(E) - Speed+Damage
Dual Shot - Damage
Favourable Winds - Speed
Read the Wind - Speed
Judge's Insight - Damage
Savage Shot - Damage
Tiger's Fury - Speed
Pentrating Shot/Pin Down(I dunno why..but i favour penetrating shot)

Expertise - 11+2
Marksmanship - 10+1
Beastmastery - 1+1
Smiting Prayers - 10

or

Expertise - 10+2
Marksmanship - 15+1
Beastmastery - 1+1
Smiting Prayers - 10

that was a little harsh, just swatting his build off the map like that, but if you read any of the links from everous' posts you would know why

er... everous had posts in the like clone post somewhere else. basically the reason why it sucks is out there *waves hand around*

Does it have somethin to do with the energy...i read several of his posts and he stated that with all preps and stances...60% of the energy would be used up or somethin....or is it about JI and its casting time?

Running JI on a Ranger with QS will run you into energy issues...JI by itself will takes away ~1/3 of your energy pool since it's unaffected by Expertise and even with a 20% enchant mod, it will only be up probably 10-12 seconds (based on what you have smite in)...but don't take my word for it...give it a whirl and see for yourself if you run into any energy problems.

I took it in the context of running JI like a preparation (in other words, almost constantly on). With JI and TF up, and the every other usage of QS, coupled with Dual Shot or Penetrating Attack, eventually the energy will catch up with you. If you can run JI with almost no downtime, post the build because I would definitely like to run it myself and check it out.

I see what you mean, but I dont understand why you would use TF and pentrating and dual shot instead of just spamming QS like no tomorrow since using dual and pentrating slows the constant damage from spamming QS

Without any other damage dealing skills, youve got no choice but to alternate quickshot and normal shot as one cant spam quickshot one after another like how barrage can be spammed. Thus it would look something like this...Quickshotshot, normal shot, quick shot, normal shot, quickshot....etc

We can replace some of the normal shots with damage skills which would boost your dps.
For example: Dual shot, quickshot, penetrating shot, quickshot, normal shot, Dual shot....etc

What if i dont maintain JI all the time like lets say...i cast JI, followed by my preps and then Dual shot, quickshot, penetrating shot, quickshot until JI ends and then i just stick to Quickshot shot, normal shot, quick shot, normal shot?

Actually the spike goes Dual Shot -> Quick Shot -> Savage Shot. Don't just try to spam Quick shot everywhere.
