Default Pet build test.

Well, firstly, as I love to play ranger Ive explored almost every aspect of them except beastmastery. After taking a look at the pet guide that was made here I got curious about pets and wanted to try one out.

Now that I know what the damage is and etc. I went out a made a lvl 18 dire stalker.

I took him to CA with

14 beastmastery
12 expertise
10 wilderness survival
4 marksmanship

I got this cool +5 energy bow from some mission (I forget) with a req. of 3 so it was perfect for my beastmaster build.

troll unguent
call of haste
maiming strike
ferocious strike
comfort animal
apply poison

charm and rez

I was surprised at how my pet could mow through some of the competition. Granted it was Randoms, but the damage was much more decent than Id ever given them credit for originally.

Another plus...runners cant win running from this build. I didnt know my pet would trasverse the whole map and follow commands.

Once my pet got targeted for attacks (rare but still) comfort pet + ferocius strike make a killer combo with the attribute set up I had. The pet would probable die under focus fire, but someone thinking they are going to knock him out of the game on his own was to be discouraged.
Spamming comfort and ferocious always got him back on top of his game.
Energy is never a problem I didnt even have to wear druids to keep my energy up.

The negitive is there and its a powerful deturant. Controling pets is haaaard.
I actually got the hang of snaring warriors with my pet that are chasing me as I ran away, but its tricky, which is shouldnt be, imo.
Most of the time I didnt know what conditions or hexs was on my pet and knowing some maybe would have had me use him differently.
Its hard to move him out of AoEs and such.

All in all, the cool thing is at lvl 18 he could hold his own nicely.
Sadly, I cant say that he did for me what I couldnt have did without him.
This is probably the biggest reason to say nevermind to him.

Ill maybe run a few other pet builds to see if anything significant comes up.
Or if youve tested something of intreset please tell.

it was in TA so it was much more organized but i prefer to take a staff rather than a bow cause u can get more heatlh and energy out of it.

ur build seems like a solo pet build. seing as u dont have a lot of beast skills to help ur pet kill faster and cause other types of dmg.
