I'll be nice and keep my opinions on wa/mo's in general to myself. However, I saw this thread and out of boredom decided to farm the griffons for the first time. You'll notice it's not a wa/mo, and note that I've also done the droknar's run with this character:

No trouble at all with them, or anything else in that portion of the desert. Skills in order of appearance.

Healing Signet
"Watch Yourself!"
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Sever Artery
Gladiator's Defense
Physical Resistance
Ether Feast

Physical Resistance + "Watch Yourself" and the ripostes/bleeds are really the key to this build. I didn't find myself using Gladiator's Defense all that much. With PR + WY up nothing was doing more than 3-4 a hit to me outside of their special attacks. I didn't time it but I killed off all the griffons twice (in groups as large as 9) and it seemed to take around 10 minutes each time.

Nice job ellix... Glad to see some creative builds. How often are you casting Heal sig and Ether feast with that build?

with the very little farming i do, i use this
16 tactics
8 healing
rest in axe with sup rune
i dont need alot of life because im perpetually in a 75% chance to block stance and i get 16 life per hit

glads defense
bon defense
cyclone axe
live vicariously
mending
vigorious spirit
exe strike
penetrating blow

i still do alot of damage with cyclone axe
and glads defense does alot of damage and lasts a while

None at all with no more than 3 on me (healing sig once after the fight is over). With a big horde of things maybe once every 10 seconds.

You seriosly need some smiting, healing hands can be replaced with life vicarously and judges insite is not needed. balths aura and soj are highly needed, put balths aura instead of exuctionars strike, and your good! thats what i roughly use anyhow, and it works amazing.

balths aura?? it counts as AOE and thus make enemies flee.

funny thing is, i changed builds i use a while ago. Balthazars Aura? WTF? lol.

Anyways, the build i use now is still a traditional W/Mo

Glads Defense
vigourous spirit
Live Vicaurously
Bonettis Defense
Shield Stance
Executioners (meh...does some dmg at least)
Cyclone Axe
Balthazars Spirit

I ditched healing hands for glads defense, and i use no smiting and im still ok.

12 tactics +1 (rune)
10 Healing
10 Axe Mastery (helm, rune)

I find this actually tanks better. BTW, judges insight was actually pretty good. I was striking for quite a bit of dmg with it. Just had to be careful. I find with this build, u can always be in a stance, and thus are less likely to be interupted. When in shield stance or glads, u can spam executioners after a cyclone for good dmg and balthazars is for energy regain.

I find it better this way...meh. I thought a solo with judges insight was unique so i posted it.

I would ditch shield stance as you dont need it when farming...bonettis is allways active so you dont ever use another stance try healing breeze just before you go into bonettis for regen that will allow you to take larger mobs (3-4 groups a time)

I much prefer mending with a vamp mod...Ill post a screenshot tonight

This build can take 3-4 mobs still fairly quick.

Back on topic, W/*'s primary tactics are to gouge as much AoE damage as possible without scaring off crowds. W/Mo's are generally chosen for (concerning griffons) live vicariously/vigorous spirit, and strength of honor. These skills allow you to spam cyclone axe/hundred blades to some success. Stances/Shouts are used when you need to actually hit a healing tab. While definately not the most lethal farmers, these builds are fine for taking on desert griffins outside of Augury.

I think it just depends on your attribute allocation to how lethal you are and your wep in my case.

I can usualy take care of 4-5 mobs (yes you can still lure them if you know how and where) in time it takes for 2 glads defense. I think this is just as fast before the aoe nerf using balthazars etc.

Ive just updated my build to use all sup runes on 15k glads armour leaving me with a whopping 350hp (using mallions shield + sup vig rune)

This works much better and even faster... why have 500+hp when you never need it?....DOH!

Still finding those gold...I got a gold 16ar skeleton shield yesterday with 28hp allways and +6ar against charr... decent find if you ask me I now have more near perfect bows and swords than I know what to do with and making around 1.5k a run for 5-8 mins work

I just cant stop farming!

I used a very similar build about a week ago, though I didn't bother with Judge's Insight, I took Healing Breeze. It could handle large griff packs (8+) safely, though it killed slower than the old, prenerf Balthazar's Aura versions. I also tried the riposte versions and found them very weak vs. mass griffs, they tend to kill very slow in my brief trial.

The problem with using a long duration Bonetti's is while it is up you gain little adrenaline. It is simply best to basically use Cyclone Axe every recycle. Thus a short duration Bonetti's is most favorable.

This is by far the easiest build I have used. Props to you.

I've got Tactics at 14 and use glads for my primary damage. When it's down, I reposte spam. Reposte spamming works GREAT against the bosses, they go down fairly fast.

I use ether feast when i'm riposting (since I'm getting hit a lot still).

I use healing signet when I've got glads defense up (since I'm rarely getting hit, the -40 armor doesn't hurt much).

The size of the groups doesn't really matter since I'm barely seeing any damage.

I use Doylak sig and then throw up Glads. Heal sig if needed. Phys resistance once Glads ends and start reposting then. Ether feast. I attack constantly even though I have almost nothing in swordsmanship for the adrenaline.

Very easy to jump into for a first time farmer. Survivability is extremely high.

One more to show I'm not doing small mobs here:

The group right before this one was 3 minos and about 8 griffons

Heres mine:

16 axe
11 strenght
10 tactics

1.cyclone axe
2.executioners
3.penetrating attack/ endure pain(4 trolls)
4.watch ur self
5.bonettis
6.glads defence(E)
7.dolyak signet
8.healing signet

Spam Watch ur Self, doylak signet and Healing signet, to keep you alive..

I can do 3 groups at a time, anymore and it gets pretty hairy!!!

Pretty simple thers also a thread about Fow farming with a very similar build, but it uses a sword, i think i got the idea from him for that three skill combo for survival!! Works really nice! Pure Warrior Farming!!! NO smite, healing or protection!!! Effective!! Oh can farm most anywhere from ettins to trolls!

Humbly.,

Thanks 2 Fow thread on Farming, 3skills that rock together!!!
