Nothing fancy, nothing special. Made the vid so any other necros unsure of what an Ettin Run is would see. It is the complete run from Beetletun, I doubled the speed and compressed about 10 minutes into < 60mb. Quality is obviously not high but quality wasn't as important for such a basic run.

Yeah, unfortunately I had a 3 minute period I needed a song for and didn't want to do song editing so just throw an "oldie" in for the end.

12+1+3 Death
9+1 Blood and Soul Reaping

You could use Deathly Chill in place of Unholy Bond, but on some runs the ettins come straight for me and aren't easy to get off me if I have only 1-2 minions.

I have been doing this run for several months now.

Lynx, Mergoyles and Bog Skales are your friends! They are how you build an army.

Don't forget to step out of the zone on the far side and work your way BACK towards Ascalon Settlement/Beetletun.

At the end of Nebo Terrace, there are often several (upto a dozen, but sometimes none) more ettins just beyond the Tengu.

There are often several bosses along the way to build Morale or burn off DP.
Ettin Boss, Tengu Boss, Bog Skale Boss, and two Mergoyle bosses on the beach.

Well, the reason I made the video wasn't to show I could do a run. Anyone can do the run I did. It was to show those who play a Necro that would like an area to farm but are a little in the dark on where and/or how. As Carinae Dragonblood points out it is an old, well known run that has been around forever, yet not everyone has seen/heard of it.

If you want to make videos of you doing runs I suggest trying to be unique, either in what you do or where you do it. I had only seen one necro farm video, that was months ago and I don't believe the link is any good any longer. You can find monk and warrior solo videos all over.

Tools that I used/use or know of:

Fraps - game video recording software. Pay, free limited use version.
Game Cam - game video recording software. Pay and free. Free version is Game Cam Lite, doesn't incorporate sound (not an issue), puts a small advert banner on the screen.
Virtualdub - video editing. Free.
Windows Movie Maker - Video editing. I used this to edit and include music. Free if you have Windows XP.

Of the 2 recording softwares I would recommend Fraps if you get the pay version and your machine can handle it, it is a HUGE resource hog. Game Cam Lite if you want free, it seems VERY resource friendly. I later tried it and had little lag, and I use a very old machine to game on. The small advert banner is a minor nuisance for a free program of this quality.
