Best bang out of Soul Barbs?
I've been tinkering with a N/Me Barbs build for PvE for a while now, and I've got a setup that works fairly well for me, but I'd like an opinion on how I'm using this.
The only 3 skills I use (for normal damage) are Soul Barbs, Parasitic Bond, and Wastrel's Worry (to activate Barbs, and a decent boss killer). I've got some other hexes, but those are the main ones that I use. I don't have too many elites with the character as of yet, but that can be fixed. Basicly, is there a better way to use Barbs?

To get the most of Soul barbs, you need spammable hexs, so hex spells recharging fast and casted fast.
Watrel's Worry is the best of all of course, as it can be casted again and again for minimal cost and maximal damage. It doesn't work well against spellcasters (because they spam skills so Wastrel's worry ends prematurely), though.
Add to your list Conjure phantasm (even with low Illusion level-it is better you just want to spam it again and again), and in the curse line, Faintheartedness and go toward an anti-warrior build.
And finally, you should bring Hex Breaker stance, because an anticaster ennemy will ruins your day, and as an Elite Feast of Corruption to have some self Heal if you can't rely on other monks. The last skill slot is for Res signet.
The bad point of this build is that it will lack of Energy management.
To have one, just replace Feast of Corruption by Mantra of recall, you will have a lot of energy but will lack heavily self healing, and you will have to put points in Inspiration magic.

Get 16 Curses and Lingering Curse. Get a mesmer in your team build.
Soul Barbs+Lingering+WW+Phantom Pain+Shatter Delusions+Conjure Phantasm etc...( a few cover hexes, too).
This is deadly, since the dmg goes right trough Prot Spirit and enchantments just hurt the guy(especially RoF). The only decent counters are Convert Hexes and healing trough the dmg. Healing trough the dmg is extremely hard because of Lingering+Deep Wound. Of course that's not enough dmg yet, but the target is extremely easy to kill with a warrior or ele, because healing the guy is near impossible.
Remember to pack something to trip enchantments, because Shielding Hands and Healing Seed kill your dmg.

Burakus, that's a very nice build, but it doesn't really take advantage of Soul Barbs, it more or less just throws it in for pizzaz. It's a strong build, and I may give it a whirl, but it's not really what I'm looking for.
glountz, I'll give those skills a try. I think I've got most of them (Conjure and Faintheartedness for sure) and I'm in the right area for elite capping.
Xasew, that sounds like a great idea, but I don't find too many hexers in PvE for some reason. I'll keep that in mind when I do PvP, but I think it'd be better for me to do this myself in PvE. But, Phantom Pain sounds like fun, I'll have to look into that. Also, It's probably a good idea for me to bring along something to strip enchantments, so I'll look into that as well. As a N/Me, I've got every best enchant strip in the game
[EDIT] I just checked the skill description on Fest of Corruption. I havn't been this excited about an elite since Hundred Blades (which was a perfect fit for my character at the time). SB + Suffering + FoC = Mass one time healing and 2 Attribute Character! Yay!

Soul Barbs, Parasitic Bond, Mind Wrack, Wastrel's Worry, Energy Drain, Energy Tap, Inspired Hex, Res Sig.
16 Curses
10 Inspiration
8 Dom
3 Soul Reaping
Put up soul barbs and spam the next 3 skills. Recover energy / trigger mind wrack with drain/tap (when you know they're low).
I've ran it for shits and giggles a few times, worked okay.
