Ok, this may sound a bit irresponsible on my end, but I've lost my pet. Not sure whether he was killed on a mission and I took off without reviving him or what but he's just dissappeared.

Is there any way to locate his body so I can ressurect him or is he gone for good, with me stuck with his lifeless corpse in my pet inventory?

Any help for this noob Ranger would be appreciated.

you should call it charm and keep animal.

if it dies and you cant find the body to res simply zone and he will be back

Pets seem to behaving strangely lately for me as well. I never had a problem until last month sometime. Sometimes my wolf just disappears for a while and then comes back. I think maybe he's getting senile or something.

I have also zoned and "lost" the pet when he was running right behind me. Two days ago I had the pet die, then died myself, was sent to a resurrection point, my pet rezed alongside me, and then he immediately dropped dead right on the rez point! It was like he just had a heart attack. I revived the beast and he functioned okay after that but it was still very strange.

I think maybe one of the recent updates must have done something.

Well, I can dispell this and say that pets are behaving normally (bugged or not).

Problems you'll want to watch out for include:

Getting rid of Charm Animal in an instance (such as on obtaining a new skill and replacing Charm Animal on your bar) and then zoning. Your pet won't disappear until you zone and can cause some confusion
Teleporting during a cutscene will, the vast majority of the time, leave your pet behind. The worst offender here is the Dragon's Lair mission.
Respawning at a rez shrine a moment before your pet dies. When you respawn it will teleport to your location but remain at its current hp and its current conditions. If it was under health degen that means it could die very quickly at the res shrine.

I did have big problems in Dragon's Lair and in both cases which he rezed then dropped dead I died first and he was still fighting so I can buy into your second and third bullet points.

The first bullet point was not my case (though it may be others). I have had a zoning problem while just out opening up the map. It's been probably two weeks ago now and if memory serves it was in the Maguuma Jungle area.

I have, many times and still nothing. That's my biggest concern is that he's simply gone.

pets cant simply begone unless charm isnt equipped or u accidentally traded it to jared.

I understand that. I've used charm everytime I've zoned and never traded him to Jarrell. Might just be a bugged pet, I'll put a ticket in tonight.
