W/R Stance Tank
Alright I have used the Searchy function and came up empty.
I have a W/R LVL 16 right now that I wanna turn into a stance tank, I also want to stay with Axes as I have a Scikle that I really like. Currently I am running:
Healing Signet
Penetrating Blow
Dismember
Executioners Strike
Swift Chop
Balanced Stance
Defensive Stance
Rez Signet (Always leave it on, habit I guess)
I am not sure on the disbursement of my skill points right now (at work) but most points are in tactics and Axe Mastery with some splashed in STR for the armor pen.
Besides Whirling Defense, which I really like from running my Ranger, what are some other skills I should be looking for?
Guess I should state that this will be mainly for PvE, and once I beat the game I would like to try out some solo farming with it. Thanks!!

Whirling Defense is an Expertise skill, of which you will have none. Stick with warrior stances:
Gladiators Defense - 5 energy, 30 sec recharge, damages attackers
Bonnetti's Defense - runs off adrenaline and can build energy

Yeah I was looking on Guildwiki after I poosted and saw that (Forgot it was Expertiese). Maybe Dryders Defenes would be a better choice.
How many Stances vs Attack skills should I run? I assume that with using Bonnetti's I should try and limit it since I cant use them while its active. Would 3 be enough? I may drop the rez sig but be sure the parties I am in know that I dont have it.

Look at the stances for duration and recharge times, and also notice what cancels them (any skill, any adrenaline, etc). If you always want to be in a stance then you need enough to cover the down times, which may be hard until you get some elites. Bonetti's is nice as it is run off of adrenaline rather than energy and it will also recharge your energy if getting attacked - so don't write it off.
I recommend getting GWfreaks and use it to build "what if" characters so you can see what the damage levels, durations, etc are of the skills to be used for the attribute settings.
You are currently invested in all warrior attributes so if you stay that way then just pick tactics stances. Otherwise lower strength and invest in wilderness survival.
Also note that you will encounter monsters with Wild Blow that will end your stances so just like any build it has weaknesses.

Yeah I have GEfreaks on my PC at home. I will give it a look tonight. I am not writing off Bonnettis, I am just trying to decide on a good mix between attacks and Stances since several I want to use will end once I use a skill.
Thanks for the help!

sheild stance
gladiators
bonhettis
defensive balanced
engure pain
sprint (for getting in monsters way so they couldnt attack monks and ele etc.)
troll unugent
and another skill of ur choice maybe cyclone axe as it could charge up bonhettis

For later in the game: melandru's resilience!! Downside is that you cannot use eviscerate, but hey you are a tank! No need for attack skills...

I am waiting on a couple of other Guildies to catch up with me at Druids overlook and then I will be sure to do the quest to get Shield Stance.
And yeah I have Melandrus Resilience for my Ranger. Its a nice skill and would come in pretty handy in later missions.
I like Nine6Nine's build, but I am a ways off for Gladiators right now, although it is a must have skill.

Shield Stance+Defensive Stance+Disciplined Stance, and Bonetti's for backup. It's not hard to make a stance tank. Which is fine, because there are better ways to make a tank anyway.

If there is one thing I have learned in this game, its noth there are better ways to do things, there are just different ways to do things.
I know there are other ways to make a tank, I just want to make use of my Cool collectors shield and its for stances so I went with it. Plus I dont want the typical Wammo running around.
Thanks for all the help.
