N/R Exploding minion??? (work in progress)
Im taking this off the top of my head so dont be mad if it sucks im not at home so meh.
type: pvp
Now The whole idea of this is to have 2 Necs. One with ranger secondary who brings EOE. Now both of these Necros MUST HAVE ZERO DEATH. or as low as possible
main spell being Minions. not the long ranged ones. the mele ones. Now
2 sac necros *obvoiusly*. you know what they do, they just kill themselves .
2 rezmers. again. fast casting and rez.
NOW the obvoius heal area monk for those minions.
But the last and most probably very vital. . The death nova/ putrid explosion 16 death magic necromancer.
the strategy to this is. to bring up those low level minions, so they die fast. 16 death necros job, is to cast death nova and putrid explosion, on the minions going down. Now once one minion explodes from the nova, and eoe, so do the rest . Now im not sure if minions leave corpses, since im not at my comp i have no way to test it. but i KNOW pets leave corpses. So putrid is to blow up those pets incase anyone survives the minion bombs.... havent tested it but. The enourmas damage from these waves of explosion would be completely devastating. and considering that. you can hold up ALLOT MORE MINIONS. then just 8. this is much more effective than a normal eoe bomb.
UPDATE: all necros must have ranger secondary and bring a pet for an extra bomb .
edit: hmm mabye this should be in pvp section. well if people like it here then ill move it to pvp

It's a pretty good idea, but minnions don't leave corpses, so... that makes it a bit usefull, but the pet idea is a good idea.
The only thing that borders me about the pet, they never attack you pet, so it's hard to let it die and it'll only work if the pet dies so...
I'm not really digging this plan soz.

You might want higher death magic; otherwise, the minions will never get close enough to hit everything with Death Nova. There will be a finite number of death novas you can cast (10 per nova necro without +enchant weapon, 12 novas otherwise, if timed perfectly). Of course, if fast cast kicks in, you maybe get off an extra... but you will have 36 seconds of death nova before you have to start refreshing. One variation might be to have all the necros saccing themselves afterwards as well, to again trigger a normal EoE bomb. Then it simply becomes a combo of the old necro-bomb and EoE bombs...

... well.. mabye the minion masters can push up death a lil so minions can actually walk to the target

also, using a minion bomb won't kill allied pets because death nova only affects foes. your pets will still be fine after the massive explosion. and another problem that lies with this strategy is this: what if they survive the attack? you will have no minions to play with and you'll be stuck trying to fight off a build meant to attack other players directly. and once someone sees that you're running a minion bomb build, they will automatically spread out to prevent everyone from taking the most damage, as it is impossible to tell your minions which target to attack; they just go off and do their own thing. thus, you'd be lucky to be able to kill one target with this massive explosion, who could then easily be rezzed.

Or drop the ranger half for a dedicated EoE from a primary ranger.. whatever. But the point is, you don't need low Death, you just need Taste of Death. And Death Nova. And lots of soul reaping.
