Default Regenerative Ele.

I was thinking about the one downfall of ele. and how i could overcome it. I then figured out that i need to have a skill that regenerates energy. I know there are some Necro skills that can do this but you cannot cast them on yourself! Does anyone have a good build that has good energy regeneration?

Well, there are a couple of options.

The first is to look right at home, in the Elementalist lines themselves. You have the Attunements, which provide large amounts of energy. Dual attunements (Elemental Attunement + (element) Attunement) give you an 80% refund on casting costs -- a tremendous bargain.

Unfortunately, doing this leaves you vulnerable to getting your enchantments removed, leaving you with no way to regain energy until they cycle.

Another option are the Glyphs of Lesser and "Greater" Energy. Glyph of Energy has the advantage of negating Exhaustion (most useful with Earthquake), but is only efficient if you can use a 25-energy spell every 15 seconds. The Glyphs also make you difficult to shut down by draining: you can still use expensive skills if you can regenerate even 5 energy.

Somewhat more specialized is Ether Prodigy. It's not subject to enchantment removal (since you can just recast it), but to get good use out of it you can't run any other exhaustion skills and have to run high Energy Storage. It's useful to power subclass skills, however.

You can also get your energy management from other classes. The Mesmer Inspiration line is popular, as it has good non-elite energy skills. Drain Power, Spirit of Failure, Drain Enchantment, and Channeling are all common. Mantra of Recall is elite but also good.

That is a good tactic: elemental attunement + normal element attunement.
It gives you 50%+33%=88% energy back.
Actually, with the normal elementalist regeneration (>>>>) you most of the time gain energy!
Endless energy! humm...seems to much good for me...

1. 50 + 33 = 83
2. 50 + 30 = 80

Game specifically says 50% and 30%

Trust me.

Elemental attunement and Fire/Water/air/Earth Attunement do not stack, sorry to burst your bubble

[BTW this is from my own testing]

ether prodigy is what I use - works well, activate it at maybe 20 energy. Then again I'm an earth ele and I never run out regardless. ;P

If you have a protector in the party, Ether Renewal works. =D

Well sorry to burst 'your' bubble, as I just tested myself, all 4 Element Attunements, including Elemental Attunement, stack.
