Default I am stuck with Mo/E or E/Mo. Help?

I use 1 of my account slots for PvP and am trying to spread out the six professions among the remaining 3 slots. I currently have a W/N and R/Me, which leaves me with Monk and Elementalist.

Should I go Mo/E or E/Mo? I plan to switch the secondary to Me for whichever one I choose.

To be honest, I don't know of any Mo/E builds. I know I can go Healing Spammer as a E/Mo or straight Elementalist.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you want to be a healer, you're better with Mo/E (the divine favor bonus). With a E/Mo, the soloing is easier, you have more mana to spend, you can last longer than the Mo (I think). And as a E/Mo you can be a support healer if you have to. I guess an E/Mo can be more versatile, you can choose the form of damage you want to do, fire early in the game, air or earth later... and switch to Smithing with undeads.. A Mo/E wouldn't stand too much with the high energy cost of E skills...

I have a E/Mo and I love it, but I didn't test Mo/E..

Good luck

Isn't the E/Mo the capable of the notorious solo farmer build?

I think the E/Mo is more versatily because you can heal (for me at least) excellently, maybe not as good as a top notch monk but pretty close, one mission and go be a nuker the next doing large AoE to many monsters. On the next mission you could switch to an air build were you can kill targets 1 at a time excellently but you sacrafice most of the AoE. Then you can swithch to earth and with the right build absorb more damage than any warrior, except a W/E doing the same thing, with your wards and earth spells.

With an elemtalist you have to specialize though no trying to be to things at the same time. you need the 12 energy storage at the end and 12 in whatever attribute you are going to play. You also gain the benifit of more energy for the mesmer skills that you would get wereas divine favor wouldn't help at all with this. A finial benfit is that you won't be targeted first in PvP.

The Mo/E can make a great smiter and is actually very powerful but you have to no what you are doing and have a pretty specific skill set. You gain the Divine Favor bonus which can double the efectivness of some heals and it makes all of your skills small heals for the target ally. The Mo/E can also be slightly more versatily on the same mission effectivaly ex. 12 Divine 12 Healing 10 Protect or smite with the Mo/E you generally only really use 4-6 skills to heal which leaves the opening for the smite or the protect or even the elemtal skills to be used. On my E/Mo though I generally have all 8 slots filled and can chain cast them all for 700+ damage on a PvP warrior. This is at the expense of any other skills though.

I could talk about the relative strengths of the two, but if you're going to switch to /Me then it's kind of irrelevant. Mo/Me is a great pure-healer build, E/Me is a great pure damage dealer build.

Pick which you want.

If all you care about is grinding the last two classes, then I'd say E/Mo, as it has a little more flexibility.

if your grinding just to unlock the skills for pvp use keep this in mind ... I'd actually go Monk/Ele ... reason why do you need energy storage to unlock 'no' skills .... you need to unlock 'divine' skills. I got my Monk through from start to end in 3 days. Of course if your not just grinding it to unlock skills then ... this would be irrevlevant.

If you're talking about the farming video posted on this forum a few time, yes, it was a E/Mo. His build is post somewhere on the forum. I took his build and modified it a bit:

1) Balthazar Aura
2) Symbol Of Wrath
3) Divine Boon
4) Healing Breeze
5) Ether Renewal
6) Zealot's Fire
7) Balthazar Spirit
8) Restore life or Mending

The 8th skill I use Restore Life if I am in a party, otherwise, I use mending, another enchantment to use with Ether renewal.

It's almost the same as the farming video, except for Ether Renewal, he was using Shield Of Judgement (knockdown on hit).

You unlock the same skills either way, except for the one that's primary-exclusive in KoA (pre-Searing), which you can buy for 10gp in RoA Ascalon City. Otherwise, you'll get all the same skills from all the same quests, regardless of which of the two classes is your primary.
