Default Necro/Monk Build (Martyr/Undead Bomber)

I've been playing a Mo/Ne for a while now, but I'm becoming more interested in a diff. type of support class other than a main healer. This is strictly PvE as far as I'm concerned.

Skills:

Martyr {Elite} - Spell
All Conditions on party members are transferred to you.

Resurrect - Spell
Resurrect target party member.

Animate Bone Minions - Spell
Exploit target corpse to animate two level 0-10 Bone Minions.

Infuse Condition - Spell
For the next 15-51 seconds, whenever you receive a Condition that Condition is transferred to the closest minion of yours instead.

Taste of Death - Spell
Steal 100-340 health from target animated undead ally.

Death Nova - Enchantment Spell
For 30 seconds, if target ally dies, Death Nova deals 26-85 damage to all nearby creatures.

Deathly Swarm - Spell
Deathly Swarm flies out slowly and strikes for 15-67 cold damage (before armor) on up to three targets.

Last Slot Open for anything, but I'd look at:
Verata's Aura
Verata's Sacrifice
Putrid Explosion.

This build would require points in Death Magic and Soul Reaping. Choose equipment at your liking.

Here's what I've noticed:

Most groups will bring along (ideally) a main healer, a main protector, and then the rest (Tanks, nukers, debuffers, etc). As a main healer monk, I found that while my skill bar was crammed with heals, rez, etc, I found that hexes and conditions were the bane of our group. I could heal just fine, but the hexes were more of an annoyance. With this build, the following would happen.

Encounter mob, help produce corpses with Deathly Swarm. Once corpses arise, summon Bone Horrors. Infuse Condition, Martyr, Death Nova, taste of death...produce more corpses. Rinse, repeat. I'm hoping that this build will keep healers focused on healing, protectors focused on protecting, while all conditions for ALL party members are transferred to me, then onto my minions. Minions turn into bombs, more corpses, more minions.

Questions, comments or suggestions?

Either I've come up with such a useless build that no one bothers to reply, or necromancer support characters are "out of style". Seems to me the only probs with this build are:

Energy Management
Lack of Corpses/Dependency on Corpses

Anything else I'm missing though? As with all support characters, this is meant to be used with a proper group (PvE). Any skills out there I should add/subtract, or should I assume this is ready for testing in the battlefield?

We're just slow to reply.

It's an new build I'm unaware of that has my attention ^_^

Conditions moving Monk? Hell, it'd be my bane in pvp should you get even one corpse for bombing.

Don't use putrid explosion or Verata's Sacrifice, instead, use Verata's Aura. Sacrifice moves conditions back to you, kinda pointless since it seems ur goal is to move them to your minons to turn them into bombs. Putrid Explosion works against you in that you're not using minions by bombing when a minion is much more useful for bombing then just a corpse.

This build imo can work in pvp. After seeing a Bone Fiend attack on my Guild Hall, I'm certain without a doubt this build can easily counter anyone trying to condition your teammates and then you turn ur hundreds of minions into kabooms! That poison!

Great Advice, I appreciate your honesty in your post. I wasn't sure if this would be a viable PvP build, as I often read Soul Reaping and Minion building often disappointing in pvp (though I am unexperienced myself).

I've thought of trying this build with my Mo/Ne, but I think that without Soulreaping, my character would be unable to maintain the energy levels to continue this process. Plus, as a main Ne/Mo, I wouldn't be the first targeted in PvP Think there's a way you could get this to work as a Mo/Ne (aka, an 8th skill that would help with the tremendous energy needs)?

It looks like it has potential...I'd like to see how you spread your points, though. That can make or break this.

The nice thing about this build is that the only skills it depends on are Death mastery and Soul Reaping. So, pretty much max those two out and you'll be set. Whether or not you do the same amount in both, or lean more towards death is the player's choice. Once I actually get my Ne/Mo to 20 and get the skills for this build, I'll probably put an update on how it works.
