K, warrior/mesmer: casts illusionary weap once. Hacks away, runs out of the enchantment -can't do damage without higher level swordsmanship AND strength, which is a waste since illusionary weaponry renders armor penetration useless. Even if you have an enchantment mod, you can't recast illusionary weapon with ease due to warriors' low energy. Mesmer/warriors can debuff/weaken enemies before they charge in, casting phantom pain+shatter delusions for a quick deep wound, then conjure phantasm, a few wastrel's worries, and attacking with gusto. The only useful skills for warrior that illusionary weaponists use is: flurry, disrupting chop/blow. As for fast casting, you can at least tap their energy faster.

It is all about the build and trends. Bet you were one of those guys who had a warrior monk 2 months ago, and an air ele last month. Now you're working on a ranger. Most people follow the trends in this manner.

I assume you were refering to me... Quotes are a useful tool.
There are many, many things a warrior can do with Mes secondary besides using illusionary weaponry. It is much more useful than something like monk.
As for Ranger/Mes... I'm suprised you've never heard of echo. Echo+Debil is 80 energy drained from your target in 20 seconds.
Skills Like Blackout, Echo, Mind Wrack, Hex Breaker, Drain Enchantment, Energy Drain, Energy Tap, Ether Feast, Spirit Shackles, Arcane Mimicry, and many more are all extremely useful and extremely cheap spells.

I only mentioned ranger/mes, who don't have mana problems and have plenty of good support abilities to function effectively without weapon (though you don't need anything else if you have echo and buffer enchants). Once again, any reason one should take mes primary over ranger primary? I've tried both, and the mes primary will get nuked into oblivion by the other teams eles, and you have to blow your mana trying to survive against warriors with distortion. Ranger stances are much better.

Mmm... I'm not sure, I know you'd do more damage with a mesmer/warrior, due do 50% more damage with flurry. thats drastic, you'll be doing 300 damage instead of 200 damage in the same amount of time. As for stances, the only one I need is distortion.

Flurry is a stance, you cannot use it and distortion at the same time. And my point about distortion is that it negates the entire advantage of going mesmer primary, more energy, not to mention the fact that if you're mesmer primary your bound to be a primary target, heck, I have a hard enough time in the backlines with both distortion and illusion of haste to keep me alive. I've never had such problems with a ranger primary, even the illusionary weapon ones.
Given, a mes/warrior would deal more damage. If there's something I'm missing to survive, I'd like to know, as I've always wanted to be a frontline mes primary who can survive. It'd be a great decoy.

Yeah that may be the best tank in the game. Ele/Mo maybe just as good or better. Earth magic and Protection prayers.
