Red face N/Me PvP build

ok, I've been doing more and more PvP lately, with both my N/Me main character and my Mo/E second character, and I've really been much more successful with the later. So I think my N/Me needs some work. My origional idea with it was to target a monk and through use of curses and mesmer skills, drain his/her energy ASAP. Here's my character:

Luna Thirteen

12 Domination Magic
14 Curses
4 Soul Reaping

Skills
Shatter Enchantment
Power Leak
Energy Burn
Black Out
Malaise
Wither (elite)

***my remaining 2 skills sort of change depending on the group

I've considered the option of switching from domination magic to inspiration magic, as Malaise + Wither will completely halt a monk's energy regen, but if I could put Ether Lord on them as well, it would leave them with -1 energy regen...assuming they're dumb enough not to remove any of the junk I'm throwing on them But really, I'm open to any possibilities and suggestions. Thanks for you interest.

I've tried that build. Wither + malaise can do some serious hurt on casters, but it just doesn't seem to be enough. Maybe I've had bad luck or gone up against monks that are very experienced and competent. I've had wither, malaise, life siphon, and faintheartedness all running on the same monk, yet they just would not seem to die and still had enough mana to cast remove and smite hex AND heal themselves. Ugh.

Have you considered Soul Leach? I have heard good things.

hmmm...it's a good blood magic spell and everything, but it's not really what I was looking for...it's an elite so it would take the place of Wither, and it kinda has the same thing that I got with backfire: long recast time for a hex they're going to remove the second I throw it on them. It's true I could start covering my hexes with decoy hexes like Mind Wrack, but...it's still no picnic.

I'm no expert, but I've been taking a look at the Necro and Mesmer skills a lot cuz I may switch my current Necro to either a N/Mo or N/Mes. Anyways, I think your goal is to mess with Casters and Casters only....looking from that point of view, I would put more focus into Inspiration instead of Domination. Energy Drain [E], Energy Tap, and even Ether Feast are spells that can effectively take away Energy. Couple Energy Drain with an Arcane Echo, and your taking away even more energy. On the Necro side, I would stick with Curses as well. I would use Rend Echantments to take care of any enchantments, and I would probably go with Malaise as well. This part may put some stress of course on your Health...maybe use Parasitic Bond on as coverup Hex and hope no one targets you or your Monk takes care of you in the meantime. Also, I kinda like Arcane Conundrum and of course there's Backfire....I guess what I would do is decrease the Attributes in Curses a bit, move the Attribute Points from Domination into Inspiration, and put the rest of the points into either Domination (interrupts maybe?) or Illusion. Well, this is just my 2 cents for now...

BTW, I think there's still that trick of foci swapping or something to that effect that makes Malaise and Wither disappear prematurely...I'm not sure how it works, but I've heard about this on this messageboard or some other.
