Mo/E or E/Mo resbot...
Howdy all, first post here... but I had an idea... not sure how feasible this would be... the idea just struck me when a discussion I was reading veered over toward resing with monk spells in the heat of PVP; even something on the scale of Tombs.
I was just thinking it might be kind of a p.i.t.a. for the other team if you had some sort of res bot on your team... this could be achieved by creating an E/Mo or Mo/E and giving him a couple different res spells on his bar, along with Glyph of Sacrifice from the E side... basically, the Glyph will make your next spell an instant cast spell but will give it an extra 120 sec of cooldown time. The glyph spell itself only has a 15 sec cooldown... so... if you're interested in resing, this combo may be an option for you in the heat of PVP... the only stipulation is that you'd need to devote 2 skill slots to it at least... but it could be a different way of being obnoxious to the other team, and could be an advantage in larger scale PVP, if you've got somebody who's, say, 1/2 healing or protection, and the rest dedicated toward resing downed allies very quickly, thus avoiding harassment from enemy mesmers and rangers.
Just kind of a concept build at this point, but I'd like to hear from some of you more seasoned PVPers and posters to see what you all think.

Me/Mo make the best res bots. Fast Casting greatly increases the speed of res spells.

The problem with that glyph of sacrifice thing is that if you're willing to wait that long for a rez, you might as well bring a signet, it'll cast slightly slower, but it's a way better rez than most, and it only needs one skill slot.

Very true, but if you're looking to maximize your res potential, it almost seems that you'd be better off bringing along res skills rather than the signet, thus allowing you to get that quick res off multiple times.
I could see a Me/Mo being a prett bad ass resbot too, now that it's been mentioned. Throw some points into Fast Casting, and bring along Arcane Echo and possibly a res skill, or even res signet. Does res signet get affected by Fast Casting???

A resbot is a waste of a slot in PvP.
Making a resbot means you'll be wasting several skill slots on resses and various ways to improve those. It would be far more useful to have a damage dealer to help your team kill quickly so you aren't forced to res. Resurrection is a last ditch effort. No character should be created starting from a resurrection template, in my opinion.

Very true... it could be more trouble than it's worth, especially in smaller scale PVP, it'd be damn near useless... more of a musing than a build suggestion, really. Thanks for the opinions guys.
