Gives you more health & more armor (you recieve 33% less damage(?) compared to othervise, except for skills that always use 60AL for damage calculation).
BUT if you are below the extra health when it goes away you die. For example if you gained 258hp and you have 257hp total when skill ends that puts you at -1 health aka death. (Same deal for all energy & health bonuses).

I would say that its a tanking skill for when you don't trust your monk, it might be enough to save you in a bind and give your monk time to keep you alive. Really though, I don't think I'd commit my elite to it.

Actually, it just drops you to 1 hp. Which of course means you generally die immediately.

It is actually pretty nice for running since if your low on health u can just use it and you will have some time to get out of the situation.

Its fun watching your health stay at 1 even though you have health regen... oh and tip, dont heal yourself when your hp is in the negatives (so to speak)... wait for it to regen above 1, then heal

The nice thing I have found with this skill is that because it's an adrenaline skill (with a very low cost it is possible to virutally keep this skill on constantly. This gives you a couple hundered hit points and 20 more ac. As a tank in pve its your job to get bloodied and keep on going. This skill helps you do just that. Damage dealing is to be done by the elementalists and rangers. Also the added hp works as a dampener against an enemies spiking. Since the more hp you have the smaller percent of your max you are reduced from. Let it wear off and refresh it when ever you are under the hp added and its in theory a free heal.

I use it with my W/Me to 'heal' with. I can spam defy and keep my health generally around 450 even amongst hydras and griffons. Plus it's fun to have 1125 health

I find it most useful in a "last stand" type of situation. You know, right after your AoEer spammed his last spell and then died, and ur the only one left. Unless you're fighting VERY powerful opponents youre practically invincible anyway from the AR boost. Use this, rez your monk so he can rez everyone else and hope for the best. Spamming "2 TEH DEATH U N00BS!!!!!!1!!11!!!!" also is a good complement to this skill.
