ok i've tested it time and time again and here is what i have
i got forge armor (even though any armor on the game will do)
i bought the sword from henge with +5 energy (always) and put a 18% enchanting pommel in it and am using the healing 12/20/20
i got a sup rune in each of my armor....no vigors. you want your life to be as low as possible. mine is 105 if i die once it goes to 33 (which is even better)
healing 9
smite 15
protection 9
divine 13
this is my bar
^^^^and yes that is my MAX life w/o any DP
1 = protective spirit
2 = healing breeze
3 = divine boon
4 = divine spirit
5 = balthazar's aura
6 = zealots fire
7 = essence bond
8 = balthazar's spirit
cast 8 and 7 right off. then before the fight cast 6. herd them together and cast 1 then 2 right behind it. now start tanking the entire group. hit 5 at first chance. cast 2 again. now hit 4 and spammmmmmmmmmmm 3. i do around 2200 dmg over 10 sec to an area around me while gaining 12 hp per sec (6 healing breeze/2 hp per sec). the beautiful thing about it is nothing can deal more than 10 dmg with one it. so its just a matter of how many you are tanking and their attack speed. i can solo UW with this build and many other places very easily.

i got a e/mo build, good for farming,
14 fire
13 energy storage
10 protection
lava font
eruption
meteor storm
fire storm
flame burst
indecency bonds
mark of protection (e)
fire attune (can be subbed out for balth spirit if u like smite)
Basically this while build relies on hevay damage in the time you have where you're taking no damage (mark of protection, then a quick eruption for blind for 10 secs) basically you have 20 seconds before you bite it, but it works ok for me, alot of timing involved, and planning.

Boon/ZF vs res does like half the DPS of a Balth Aura - against highlevel stuff like Mahgos, Frosty Griffs and whatnot ZF is just cute support and nice healing, but thats about it.
Not to say its not worth using, its a great skill - but saying it outdoes even a single basic smite skill in DPS is nonsense.

clearly you can't do math
lets put this on a 10 sec time limit. my aura is doing 25 over 10 sec = 250 dmg
my ZF is doing 45 dmg boon's casting time is 1/4 of 1 sec with no recharge. so 45x4=180, boon is doing 180 dmg in 1 sec. now over 10 seconds 180x10=4800.
there is not more powerfull combo on the game period. combine that with divine spirit and your boon will cost you 1 energy for x sec (10 sec for me).
right now my monk is doing 5050 dmg over 10 sec to an area around me.
you'd be surprised how much stuff can stay alive after 10 sec. the barbed aaxets in UW can take about 2.5 rounds of 10 sec dmg.

Oh dear, the misinformation is running wild tonight. Yes, there is aftercast, and yes, it is .75 seconds.
Yet still, boon/zealots/channeling in most cases out-damages balthazar's aura, not to mention with aura you have a 5 second downtime (provided you have the energy to keep recasting) and it costs a hefty 25energy.

Ah...if I do my math correctly, then it leads me to believe that 180 multiplied by 10 yields a product of 1800, not 4800. If I figure in the 250 damage from the Aura, then the sum would end up being 2050, still nowhere near 4800. Is my math incorrect somewhere?

I like to do this:
11+1+1 or 11+1 Smiting Prayers
11+1 or 11+1+1 Divine Favor
8 Inspiration Magic
You don't need much Inspiration for Channeling to be effective. Low Inspiration just means you have to cast it more often.
