Life Bond + Balthazar's Spirt
I occasionally use Life Bond with BS for protection monking, but lately it seems that when you get the -0HP it no longer triggers BS. Am I smoking crack, or is this now the case?

i really dont think you should be to worried about that. besides, the healing ball has become outdated, granted its excellent PvP applications.

It makes sense if you read the description.
Balthazar's Spirit - Enchantment Spell
While you maintain this "Enchantment", target ally gains adrenaline and Energy after taking damage. (The amount of adrenaline gained increases depending on your rank in Smiting Prayers.)
So...if you're taking 0 damage, how is this spell going to be activated? My suggestion: throw essence bond on them to give yourself some extra energy.

Actually... BS used to correspond with LB even if the damage was 0. It's quite funny because essence bond was actually the one that doesn't work, so basically you've just denied what's true and suggested whats a lie. I haven't done my LB prot monk in a while so it's possible a patch may have done something, or they just shattered your BS while you weren't looking or something.

Hey, if BS is working with LB, then great! Makes our lives as protection monks that much easier. But last I tried using BS on someone with LB (with me taking 0 dmg) I wasn't gaining any energy. I was gaining energy with Essence bond on the target I was using LB on, and that was giving me energy (hence my advice to the OP). This was about 2 weeks ago. When were you working with your prot. monk last? And no, they didn't "shatter" my BS while I wasn't looking.
I apologize, I should have specified that I've actually seen BS not work with LB and 0 dmg on the monk instead of reasoning it out in my original post. Afterall, first-hand experience goes a lot farther than simple reasoning can.
So, disregarding what I've "denied what's true and suggested what's a lie" has anyone tested this out lately to see what does and does not work? It's been a week or two since I've worked on this problem specifically with my monk.

As far as I know it still works, or atleast it should. You probably had it pulled or something you didn't notice.

It sounds like you are using Balthazer's Spirit on an ally when you should be casting it on yourself....
