Default Soul Barbs / Water Magic Ele/Nec Build

Hey, i wanted to post an elementalist build I thought of, wandering if someone could test them for me (My GW comp is out atm).

Soul Barbs / Water Magic

Attribute Spread:

Water: 12 +4
Curses: 10
Energy Storage: 8 +2

Skills:

Ice Spikes
Shard Storm
Deep Freeze
Maelstrom
Soul Barbs
Rend Enchantments
Water Attunement or Ice Spear
Water Trident or Elemental Attunement

How It works: Pretty easy really. Since most Water skills count as hexes, Soul Barbs combines well as damage output. Hit them with Soul Barbs, load up the water attacks, also use Rend enchantments if the target is to heavily enchanted. I havent worked out those last 2 skills above, i need either spear or trident so I can put out more damage cuz other skills got high recharge, also need attunements to compromise energy management. Possibly Ether Prodigy and Ice Spear, havent tested, post what you think.

Since wastrel's worry is incredibly spammable and it's a hex, you'll find that mesmer secondary or primary works better with soul barbs.

Default Interesting build

Remember that Soul also works on enchantments, so when you rend, and the other team tries to load them back on, blamo.

This is an interesting idea. I wonder if Mind Freeze may be a decent spell to try. Especially with a high Energy Storage, you can hit for nearly 100, and slow the enemy.

Try to keep within the idea of your build, and if there are holes to fill do that. But I'm not sure Maelstrom fits all that well. Interrupting is nice though.

You may want an Ether Renewal {E} Engine as seeing this build looks very mana hungry and there's just one more enchantment you can use to feed it. Armor of Mist would work well with Water Attunement then u do Ether Renewal {E}.

The hexes are fine and from what I can see, VERY devastating when tacked onto Soul Barbs.

A very interesting build... If you only want a suggestion for ur current elite, then just go with Water Trident {E}. Help out your teammates. Elemental Attunement is pointless since it's really made for many elements instead of water.

Wow, a nice idea

Not to be harsh but I think this build has already been made. The PvP Premade templates contain a build with practically the same skill set up and attribute distribution. One or two various skill differences. I think you put two more attribute points into curses then the PvP build, whereas that build uses 2 more in energy storage.

but considering it is a PvP template... it is probably pretty decent. I've tried it out and it wasn't for me... but that is just me.

Ok Im back, sorry for the long reply, I posted this thread a few days ago, but had to evacuate because of Dennis and cuz my parents are retards, adn our shitty hotel had no internet.

Anyways, I appreciate the input, Ill probably take out Maelstrom and take some of the various suggestions and see how it works out. Thanks for the suggestions, I also got a few other builds I thought of while whittling my time away, ill post them in due time.

No harshness taken Glusso.

I'd think replace soul barbs with spinal shivers would be nice 'eh? Surely better for the water elementalist.

I have thoguht about Shinal Shivers for interrupt, but it is energy rape, and thw build is made around Soul Barbs cuz most water spells are hexes.
