Mist Form... messed up?
Here it is.. proof that something is awry with the skill itself. I was so intent on getting this skill from Eidolon, and once I attained it, I was very happy. Thus, I decided to put it to the test... by running into a mob of angry Mergoyle Wavebreakers. As I put on the spell... I noticed I was still taking in damage, and yet I could still deal damage.
Is this skill bugged? Or what is it's real purpose?

Yes... the damage itself is physical, I know this because a regular axe cannot damage it, but a Elemental one can... Not to mention my awesome 11-22 fire wand was pricking it for 4 dmg (It's more than 0!)

So the result of this is that Greater Conflagration or Winter (which you might have cast anyway for different reasons) completely negates this spell? And since it hasn't been dispelled and it's sitting there on your bar, you may never even know it...
Nasty. I know I'll never use it.

The skill itself seems to be dysfunctional.
W/R with a physical melee weapon was hitting the eidolon in my party right after it used Mist Form, and I was a Mo/R, so neither of us had enchantment removals. The rest were hench, which never use enchantment removal, hex removal, or condition removal.
Whether the description is wrong or not, SOMETHING is definitely wrong about the skill.

When mist form is working, your attacks still hit, but they do -0 damage. And yeah, it seems to still block all physical damage correctly. Either the skill description or the code needs to change.

I believe the key is the word attacks. It's not physical damage; it's anything that's an attack. A Flaming bow will still do zero damage. But spells (and other non-attack skills) will do damage, because they aren't attacks. See page 123 of the manual for different skill types. Attacks are a skill type.
Mergoyles do most of their damage with spells of various kinds (though they will attack).

No this skill is most likely broken. The effect about it working looks like total random. I had warriors with swords and axes bash away and do 0 damage. Then comes a single archer and does normal damage with his bow. Along comes a hammer warrior and does full damage. Then is the second try of the sword warrior and he does full damage whereas the hammer warrior now does 0 damage.
I call this messed up if those damage or not damage can change midfight with them not swapping weapons and no one putting up a spirit.

As someone who has used Mist Form to solo a lot, it's not attacks, it's physical damage that it prevents.
Non-physical damage is dealt normally. When monsters happen to carry elemental/holy/chaos/whatever weapons, I will take damage like normal. If they have normal weapons I can be swarmed and not be hurt at all as long as it's up.
Likewise, I can fire off a wand or hit with an elemental sword and still do damage but the minute I switch to a non-modded sword I'll see a stream of 0's.

Ive used it before, and I don't believe its broken. I use it along with armor of mist for running, and most enemies do -0 damage on me for the duration. Spells, conditions, knockdowns all still work, but something throwing a rock at you wont hurt you.
