Default MoMe defense

My MoMe was created to play a Lifebond Blessed Signet build, but nowadays he is a pure healer. Healing is ok, but its the defense I would like to work a tad on. Getting killed is my main problem

Actually it looks to me that most monks spend too little energy on defensive measures. With the PvP focus on monks, +20 AL is a huge bonus to staying alive.

So I could start with a general question, which secondary class you favouring?
A) MoW (Shields, Bonettis, unintteruptable, not possble to remove, no mana cost)
B) MoE, Armour of Earth
C) MoMe, various options, Hex Breaker, Spirit of Failure, Channeling, armour spells.

Right now, I spec Inspiration, and am toying with the idea of using Elemental Resistance, +40AL vs El damage, and -18 Al to physical.

Now, that -18AL is rather painfun, I did try it, and a warrior will basically crush me in a few secs So I was wondering: did anybody use this spell, and the +10physical armour? Then add a shield of say 8 AL, no requirement, and total vs physical is around 60.

While vs Elemental is around 100+shield. What do you think? Saves me from major spikes, and Warrs can be handled in other fashions.

Orison
WoH(E)
VSpirit
Res Signet
Dwaynas, Sig of Dev (at times)
--
Channeling, Spirit of Failure
Hex Breaker (stopping a Backfiring Me for 20+ secs is great.. )
Diversion(forgot its name, it adds 20+secs to recharge time of used skill) (toyed a bit with Domination)

I have to add I did spec to 11-10-10, and only with 2 major runes for Healing and DF.

So I would be happy to hear other monks strategy for surviving out there in PvP..

Healing touch is the best self-heal for a fairly pure healing monk. Signet of devotion is handy for when you're backfired/ACed/energy drained. I'd go with hex breaker or mantra of resolve on the mesmer side. The nice thing about those is you don't really need to spend any points to use them; they last 60 seconds at level 0.
