Default Tombs Anti-Monk Warrior : Thoughts please

The Reaver

W/N
Strength 12
Axe Mastery 12 (+ 1 from helm)
Curses 3

Armour:
Full Gladiator's except for Knight's Gauntlets
Executioner's Helm

Weapon: Axe
Lenghtens Weakness on foe
+15% dmg when health above 50%

Shield: Best available (str based)

Skills:
Cleave (E)
Disrupting Chop
Protector's Strike
Dismember
Axe Twist
"For Great Justice"
Sprint
Defile Flesh (sole necro spell)

This build is designed to output enough damage and healing effectiveness reduction to kill a monk. Cleave is the star damage dealer doing +24 dmg (at lvl 14 axe mastery) for only 4 adren. You should use Dismember and Axe twist on your target as soon as you get te adren to do so. If the target is being healed a lot by other monks, you should then cast Defile Flesh and finish the job (note: it's important to build up adren before casting Defile Flesh, you want to maximize your 8 seconds of lessened healing). "For Great Justice" is a staple skill that allows you to use cleave every three strikes.

I chose protector's strike (instead of say, axe rake) for the damage and because you dont really need to snare the target. There's two reasons for this. First of all, a running target always takes critical damage, i've done upwards of 100 dmg with protectors strike while sprinting after a monk. The other reason is that you should work with a sword warrior, after all, a target can only be hamstrung once so there's no point in both of you trying to cripple the monk.

Disrupting chop is there mainly to stop monks that use reversal of fortune and to interupt people trying to res that monk you just killed. You should keep this skill charged at all times and only use it when you need to.

Finally, the reason this build uses mainly gladiator's armour is that the reduced damage effect from Knight's armour works like a rune of major absorption. That means that have only one knight's piece is sufficient to gain the reduced damage bonus. So, given that, we might as well enjoy the benefits of the Gladiator's armour.

Defile Flesh just isn't efficient or versitile enough. It really doesn't do much to a protections monk, and that 10 energy could be put to better use in my opinion.

Also, you'll certainly want to buy a superior axe rune for 16 axe mastery. The increase in the number of critical hits is very significant. Your damage output will increase a great deal more than you think.
