This is my 2nd day playing, I'm level 4 but I have absolutely no idea where to train skills. I'm in pre-searing and I'm going for the first all-ranger build in the ranger guide. Thanks in advance for your help.

you will need a secondary even if you dont use it

edit

be sure to distribute the attribute points you got for each level
at 4 you should have 15 points

Only problem is, now I can't find Sir Bertran and nobody is answering me when I ask in-game...

I believe that Bertran is in POST-Searing Ascalon. So you would need to go through the Academy before you would find him.

correct

if you have trouble finding a trainer npc etc
hold down ALT and look around as all the NPC and SIGNS will be hilighted for you

For ranger in pre, there is a trainer out side the door at first, then Ranger Nente in the regent valley for charm animal and then ranger adien out by wizards folly to get ignite arrows, and then, Ivor in the hills on your way to Fort Ranick. My main char is a ranger, and I have helped many on these quests. If I am in game and you need help hollor and I will help you, I have a char in pre still to help the members of our guild that join..IGN Painful Paw
