War/Ele Air Knockdown Build...
First, Here's what I'm thinkin':
(By the way, this is meant for PvP)
12 Air Magic
10+2 Strength
8+2 Tactics
Warrior Elementalist
Sprint/Rush
Windborne Speed
Gale
Shock
Whirlwind
Bull's Charge (Elite)
I Will Survive!
Shields Up!
Second off: Do Sprint/Rush/Windborne Speed stack? Remember, this entire build is theory, and I'm not particularly keen on the skill interactions (hence why I'm askin' for help here). If Sprint and Rush DO indeed stack, drop I Will Survive! for either Sprint or Rush.
Finally, the point of this build -
From what PvP experience I've gathered, I've noticed two things:
Players have a difficult time dealing with a highly mobile target.
Players dislike being interrupted.
So why not a Warrior that specializes not engaging in combat, but being a quick and inherently well-defended interrupter/annoyer? Basically, this Warrior/Elementalist is meant to circle the battlefield - attack from a distance, primarily with Shock. Shock's long-cooldown time matters little...just run around recasting your speed buffs or Bull's Charge someone quickly or Whirlwind when appropriate. Gale is there when someone needs to be knocked down ASAP and for a good duration. Due to the constant motion, it is very unlikely that you'll be struck down and/or even targeted long enough for damage to be dealt. You're merely a distraction for the opposing team's party. Circling the action and shocking as often as possible will give fits to those PvPers that like to sit still with your party members and go toe-to-toe, or casters that like to stay outside the combat and launch AoE spells.
This build is mostly a mind games build. Since the entire battleground is your area of motion, and you move faster than every other character, you're basically ever-present outside a melee. An ever-present, ranged knockdown artist that's quick and armored to boot is something that I think will linger in the opposing party's mind. Time and spells will be wasted trying to attack you, because you really aren't much of a concern.
Of course, there always looms the threat of being slowed, etc. You're still a target, but I think the fact that Warriors are low-priority kills to begin with coupled with the Warrior's superb armor choices keep the Warrior's chances of survival pretty high.
So whatcha think? Remember, again, this build is theory, so if my predictions and assumptions about the majority of PvPers is wrong, feel free to tell/flame/whatever.
Thanks in Advance,
