Default Is Vengence Working as intended ?

Is vengence working as intended. I was with a group and the only monk with it. Some of our main tanks were in major trouble and our best one wnet down. I used Vengence to bring them back to save our butts and after 30sec. They were still alive and didnt die.

I thought it rez's them but they will die after 30sec. All the times I have used it. People don't die.

That or I have a cool bug.

Anyone else with any other feedback?

Cheers

Syks

I thought it was 60 seconds?

I may be wrong.

Although if killed when under the effects of vegeance, I don't suffer the death penalty? Is this intended?

I've had mixed results, sometimes I die and sometimes I don't after the time limit when vengeance is cast on me. I think it's bugged. Rend enchantments will kill me regardless, though.

I use Vengence myself & I have found that many times ppl do not die after the 30 sec time limit either. I have also bnoticed that whenever this is the case a lot of healing has taken place. Perhaps the massive amounts ofhealing as negated the death?

It has been speculated that Divine Intervention cast after Vengeance will negate the death from Vengeance, but I don't know if that's the case in the situations you're describing.

Yes, Divine Intervention and I believe Mark of Protection will both save them from death, but if you didn't cast either of those spells then I don't know.

Protective Spirit and Reversal of Fortune are rumored to as well and if I had to guess I'd say those that things like stacking, say, Defy Pain, Endure Pain, and Fertile Season might too and maybe even Life Bond. Basically, Vengeance works by delivering a huge but hidden burst of damage when it ends, enough that you're guaranteed to die. But there are skills that reduce or deflect damage, such as Divine Intervention and Mark of Protection, and using those lets you escape that death blow and stay alive. And, if that's possible, I'd say it's reasonable to expect that raising your hit points a lot might also let you survive that killing blow when Vengeance fades.

Anyhow, that's just the way Vengeance works. It's not so much a bug as it is a way of exploiting the rules governing it. It's a loophole, one that should probably be closed, but I doubt it's at the top of the developer's priority list - especially because it's been known and used for months now.

Didn't this encourage the use of more enchantment removals and rend during alpha stages or something? I heard about it awhile ago, but thought it either got fixed.

Ah protective spirit that may it be. I always had Lina with me when I vengeance'd and she does protective spirit on everyone usually. So you can only lose 10% health to any one stuff. Which vengeance happens to be one of

Probably you shift-clicked to announce that you were using Vengeance and someone later rezzed him, or else someone was rezzing at the same time.

Nope, I walked out with a single henchy (Thank you Stefan for being a test subject), let the poor guy get wasted, eaten, killed and then Venganced his butt. And funnily enough, he got up keep fighting and did not die after the 'said' time limit.

Anyone else done any testing on this as currently as it stands, I run around with two rez spells, Rebirth and Vengance. Vengance I only use if the main tank goes down and Rebirth at the end of battle to raise those who I couldn't get to in time.

Vengenance is bugged!
My vengenanced allies never died today after 30 seconds.
Noone else did anything to them and they noticed no death penalty if diing within 30 seconds.

This bug makes vengenanve WAY too powerfull.

I wonder if it's the same with Unyielding Aura, I haven't been able to try that spell out yet.

I have a question:

Does dying from Vengeance's effect add to your /deaths count?

Thanks in advance.

Both Vengeance and Unyielding Aura are currently bugged. All they do atm is res the target at full health and energy. They don't expire, but by the same token you don't get the benefit of no death penalty.

So that's confusing me. Vengeance has been said to work in conjunction and without conjunction with other moves. What is the current state? That it's just bugged period?

No it doesnt add. SO therefore, if you have a smart Monk, you can go into battle, die and be rezzed with out a death penalty being incurred. Sounds nifty hey :P

Well thats my theory behind the whole matter.
