Default Mo/W Tank

I have been thinking a lot about using Warrior as a secondary. I know a lot of people do it with the IW builds but I have been wanting to try it with a monk. I have made a Mo/W that I have up to level 13 right now with a build like this.

Healing Prayers 7 = 5 + 2
Smiting Prayers 6 = 5 + 1
Protection Prayers 4 = 3 + 1
Divine Favor 2 = 1 + 1
Axe Mastery 8

Servant's Scalp of Minor Vigor, with Censor's armor with the + 10 vs Physical, Vestments of Protection, Hand wraps of Divine Favor, Pants of Healing, Sandals of Smiting

Focus Item
Energy + 6, Health + 25, Armor + 5, and another Armor + 5 from the my axe

Leaving me with 395 Hp and 32 Mp.

1.“For great justice!”
2.Dismember
3.Penetrating Blow
4.Executioner's Strike
5.Cyclone Axe
6.Shielding Hands
7.Healing Breeze
8.Live Vicariously

What I do here is cast Live Vicariously on my self and any other Warrior. I run it at least two time and I like to have it running in 3 places. It seems to work alright but I think it could be better and was wondering if any one here could give any suggestions on this build or maybe point out a better way to make a Warrior out of a Monk. My original idea was that I should be able to make up for the monks lack of armor with the greater energy and plus 4 dot energy by making good use of upkeep spells.

P. S. Fear the pants of healing and the sandals of smiting...

lol yeah that would probably be a good adjustment... take out the smiting attributes or put in a smiting skill like SoW or Judges Insight or something of that affect.

If you do that, then you should respec your attributes according to build you're going for. If you're gonna stick with Penetrating Blow, take away your Smiting points and put them into Ax or Strength...and vice versa the other way around. Refund points are not that tuff to come by, and you'll never truly see how effective your build is unless you maximize it's attributes accordingly.

Not to be insulting or anything but you do know monks can't tank right?

When you get further into the game when you join a group people will expect a primary monk to heal also you wont have the armour to tank lvl 20 or 24 creatures.

If you really want that build you should have gone W/Mo for the armour

I did this to try something out and as I said it is something that would just not work the other way around. The whole thing is just to see if I can make up for lack of armor with the extra energy. As for level 20 and 24 stuff... I'm going to hope that I just might have some better skills by that point.

I'm just seeing where this kind of build can go not really this exact build as it is right now.

Im already doing this and it works pretty well.. Not sure how well compared to a Wamo though.

You won't be spectacular.. Until you get some of the higher level smiting and protection spells. That's when you'll start to shine. Let smiting do the damage, use warrior tactics and protection to keep yourself alive.

Any class can tank with the right spells. My concern would be more about DPS because nothing from the primary class is actually boosting the warrior offence here and you're missing out on Strength. I've faced melee Monks in PvP a few times and they have all had the problem of low DPS. Smiting monks can do more damage especially pbaoe.
