seed isn't elite, anyways. Are you confusing it with hands?

Healing seed isn't an elite skill.
You get it from a quest, but I don't remember the exact one.
It should be available to you around the Henge of Denravi area if I remember right...more or less.

Firstly, Healing Seed isn't elite, and can be bought at the oasis.
Secondly, you shouldn't berate me for being an ass. I can't help what I am.

You get Healing Seed off a quest in Druid's Overlook, IIRC.
I don't understand what's so great about this skill. Especially if you're a Monk Primary. It's a lot of energy to cast, and it's not in the Divine Favor line. Seems more like a skill for El/Mos, to me.
And, while I don't have a lot of high level PvP experience in GW, I do have quite a bit in both Shadowbane and WoW, and focus firing is what wins small scale fights... so the AOE heal component wouldn't be of much use. In large scale fights (which GW doesn't have), small radius AoE healing is great, however.

Basically because Healing seed and healing breeze on main warrior providing everything attacks the main warrior he is nearly invincible for 10 seconds at least by which time you have full energy and again and the mobs are almost dead an noone has taken any damage. One of my favourite spells cant cast it on me though

Sounds like Healing Hands, or even Shielding Hands, would be better for that particular usage. If all the mobs are on the primary tank, why do you want an AoE heal?
Seems the only use the spell has is if everyone was taking damage... like in the Facet of Light area of the Dragon Lair's mission. That's a spot where Healing Seed would be quite good... unfortunately, unless you had already been through it once, you wouldn't know to equip it.
Are there any mobs that do low->middling AoE damage? I haven't really encountered any yet. That'd be a case where Healing Seed would perform wonderfully.

Healing Seed is a lot of fun when you're lvl 20 with a lvl 20 tank and decide to repel the Charr invasion of Ascalon in the first mission. ^^

It's one of the spells that can save a Ghost Hero in Tombs from multiple AoE DoT spells. I played both SB, WoW and GW. GW is very different in PvP mechanics from just about any PvP MMORPG.

It has a good duration and recast time. Also, healing/protection henchmans like to run in PBAoE range so they may be healed by it too.

I like healing seed because I can drop it on whoever is taking all the damage (generally the casters vs. a group that actually assists), and makes them next to impossible to kill. Yea, its a lot of mana, but with either mana taps or mana storage it isnt a big dent, and allows the monk to use the timed ones on himself when a person or 2 realizes they should have targeted you first.
And as far as the style PvP takes, its almost exactly outta lineage 2, and somewhat similar to DAOC in terms of how fast someone can drop, as well as how quickly one can run outta mana without good managment.

I think u get healing seed doing the "mysterious message" quest out of the druid's overlook.
And, yes, healing seed works great when the whole party gets hit w conditions and hexes. Like when fighting undead, or mesmers. A main tank with protective spirit and healing seed will save u untold amounts of manna in individual heals for the low grade HP loss of the party.
No, it is not viable in a heavy toe-to-toe type fight. Best there is protective spirit, Aegis, and heal other/ divine healing.

Healing Seed lasts longer than Healing Hands, heals for more, activates against all damage types (not just physical), and isn't elite. The only drawbacks are the cost and target other requirement. It's just a better skill.
