hmm, guess i came here too late...

i just arrived at st anjeka's, and tried to run to Chkkr Thousand tails. But i'm afraid he's nowhere to be seen anymore. There are a million Dragon Moss and those other uglies, and also some mantids, but no Chkkrrrrrrrsssss anywhere. If it still was there yesterday, with today's update they removed/reallocated him.....

I'm pretty sure I saw this build somewhere in here, but can't find it. I play a W/Mo and want to solo IDS. Also, I use a sword. Anyone know of a guide/build to help me out? Thanks.. great thread everyone.

IDS Build for Warrior/Monk <Much better than Warrior/Mes>

Mending
Watchful Spirit
Defy Pain
Sever Artery
Gash
Watch Yourself!
Dolyak Signet
Sprint

Have about 10 or so attribute points
in tactics,strength,swords, an 8 in healing

You can take on as many ice imps as you want with this build.Enjoy

This build allows me to solo many places. Obviously, its not as fast or efficient as a warrior, monk, or ritualist, but it gets the job done. From left to right, my skillbar is as follows:

Disrupting Stab (swap this for whatever you want)
Golden Phoenix Strike
Death Blossom
Golden Lotus Strike
Healing Breeze (Vigorous Spirit works too)
Healing Hands {E} - requires prophecies
Live Vicariously - requires prophecies
Balthazars Spirit - requires prophecies

For attributes, I do the following:

max healing
almost max dagger mastery (I go to 11 + superior rune + helm)
remaining points go into critical strikes

I also suggest a dagger upgrade that makes your enchantments last longer...I use a 20%

I've posted variations of this build in a couple of spots around guildwarsguru, usually getting a lot of crap about it because it provides a way for an assassin to be a tank. Most people dont think assassins should tank, but quite frankly, I dont care what other people think.

The build works great in my opinion, allowing me to solo many places. Energy management is not a concern, because you will always be the focus of the enemy attacks if you play solo. Balthazars Spirit will keep your energy full.

Some places i like to use this build:

Wajjun Bazaar
Pongmei Valley
Arborstone
The Yeti outside of Aspenwood (Luxon side - cant remember the area name)
Works well in many popular Prophecies farming locations too

Might take you a bit of practice to get all the timing right, but it works...I use this build on my own assassin.
