flatbow is acutaly have range of longbow and refire rate of shortbow. but very high arc to compensate that buffs - so its isnt good choose for any ranger imo (except you running RtW+FW, but in that case you cant use barrage - B strips preparations)

How is Margrid Energy management with the 15p nonexpertisable stand your ground? Wouldn't Zealous Bow be better (so she doesn't steal energising finale from Morgahn)? If its ok, then Vampiric will be better idea instead of sundering in my opinion... or I'm wrong?
Morgahn has one spare attribute point left. Put it in tactics. It doesn't increase WY duration, but gives it +1 armor more:P~ And give the old man furious spear if you come across one.

Favorable winds is a nature ritual and thus not 'stripped'. Flatbows are fine for most PvE work, there's not a lot of dodging from critters, only for interrupts are recurve's a better choice, imo.

Actually I just pointed that flatbows have same range as longbows so shouts from Magrid wont be so efficient as with shortbow =)
as for me - FW isnt enougth to lower arc of flatbow - still dodges and strays - if you want to running good flat - u should run Read the winds either - and barrage will strip it

Thank you very much for this excellent build.
It works very good for me.
If have got one Problem: I have got only nightfall.
What skills can I use instead of the non-nightfall sklills? (especially for the monk)

You mean Restore Conditions? Mhh, hard to replace ... Dismiss Condition or Mending Touch, maybe in concert with Martyr ... or Draw and Purge.
If Revealed/Inspired Hex are non-Nightfall, Holy Veil can take it's place (might be better anyway?).
Rez Chant ... make your pick. Personally ... I'd rather not give rez to my monk heroes, but there aren't many /Mo in this build.
It's easier if you list the skills that you do not have access to.

Um... yeah... Used Margrid Tahl and Morgahn exactly as you said. Tasca's Demise on hard mode. Because I'm the tank, and not Margrid, I took her off attack and put her on guard so that... you know... my party isn't wiped but someone who is NOT the designated puller. Besides me, everyone sat huddled in a little area and attacked long range while I pulled the first Dwarven group around a rock. At the end, my heroes each had less than ten energy. Tahl still died twice. Note: This is the BEGINNING group right outside Granite. Third group [after the trio of melee dwarves] = party wipe. Came back, waited for minions to die, then killed them after Tahl reached 60%. No one else died, I think. Went to that HUGE dwarven group, somehow lured three rangers, killed them. After that I lured two dolyaks, three herders, and a ranger. Guess what! PARTY WIPE

You probably will not beleive this and if you don't well whatever. I went to help an alliance member with the Vizunah Square mission because they kept losing with PUGs. If you do not know what mission this is, it is the one where you start off with 2 teams of 8, one team accompanies Togo and the other accompanies Mhenlo. There are 4 large battles within the mission. No offense but I ussually prefer heroes and henchman over real players because I find that a lot of players are incompetent, or just will not follow directions. Our team makeup was me on my Dual Attunment E/D, a player W/Mo(level 15), and another Alliance member with a MM, then I took this combination of heroes that I saw in this post of a ranger(Margrid), a paragon(Morgan) and a monk(Talkora) then filled out the party with a mesmer and monk henchman.
The whole other team (the one accompanying Mhenlo) was all human players, and after they got Mhenlo to us they noticed that we only had 3 real people. They made some comments and then said there is no way we could beat it with that many henchman then they all resigned. Well if you don't know me I always like a challenge, so I told my team don't worry about it we can still win this mission without them and we continued with just the 8 of us plus Togo and Mhenlo. It got rather interesting at times, but only 2 people died in the mission. In the end we got expert's reward being about 4 minutes over the masters time.
I say all this to say, that I have been on PUGs that couldn't even get past the first battle and it just amazed me that 3 players and 5 henchies could do it. But then again, the henchies always listen and so did the other players this time. This also goes to say that if you can do this one with half the normal amount of players with henchies, you can do any of the missions with the normal 8. This was on NM btw, but I just wanted to say thanks for the build, oh and I did not have any runes on the heroes nor max weapons.

Incase you haven't realized, the linchpin skills in this build have been nerfed into oblivion months ago. The build still works ok, but there is no more super e-managment and god like defence. If your looking for a "win quick and easy build" I sujest you find something else.

i haven't had a chance to try this build myself, but who cares if the linchpin skills have been nerfed? did you ever stop and think that it might be a decent build anyways? just because a skill got "nerfed" doesn't make it a bad skill. i'm sure anet had a reason for making the nerf in the first place, most likely for balance issues.
if it works for some people, power to them for finding something that works. if not, they can go look for something that works for them.
btw, when i get a chance, i'll try this myself. we shall see.

perhaps you should read the post he quoted first? he was responding to the guy who was complaining that he was dying when using this build and it wasn't working as the OP had stated. shru was reminding Zeek Aran why it wasn't working as stated.
